The wiper motor used on the CUCV is the old school motor used in the 70s civy trucks and cars and has a plunger built in and is a mechanical wiper washer pump so it only squirts fluid if the wipers are moving and it also is not fixable when it fails and the motor is also weak and can only run...
Usualy it is the ground strap the loses contact and causes the motor not to park. Check the flat metal strap on the motor for contact, use a jumper wire as a tester.
I will guess it is a CUCV but if so why is there any sealant issues since there is no sealant used on these windshields? It is a rubber gasket and zip in style band to keep pressure to prevent leaks. If you are fixing the rust, I would just put a new gasket and seal in and be done with it.
That looks like an old Dana 44 outer with the 6 roller bearing. There is actualy a 2 pin tool that was used for them and it was thin walled so it fit snug on the stub shaft and locked right into the nut.
I have a Honda Rancher and I put it in my M101a2 with the bows and canvas with no real issues. I have a Highlifter spring lift and a little taller tire size from a Rubicon and it just rubs the wheel well a little but that is it. You will need to get creative in order to strap it in though.
That is the engine oil sample valve. With the engine running, remove the cap, open the valve and oil will come out of the fitting. We used small pill bottle sized plastic jars for sampling. Send the oil out to be tested, if it failed for any reason, we would pull the engine and replace it...
Good to know. I am building a doubler from ORD and will be doing some upgrades to the shift forks and rails. so I will have so parts laying around real soon.
If it is a 205, and a stock shifter. It would have to be internal, but the 205 is fairly bulletproof. But didn't the M1031 use the 241 also? I think from memory, the main bull gear in the 205 is on the shaft with the aluminum cover/bearing support, that could have cracked and the shaft...
You are correct if you are familiar with the TMs and have them. Some of the collectors/members may not have every manual or may not be that PC literate so it could take some time to find the info in the TM when going online and asking could just be minuets, especially with the response time...
You are correct, I am the member and you are the Moderator(with the big F-n chip on his shoulder) You have no reason to lash out all the time. Do you know how many times people mention steel soldiers web site to me daily? How many of them will not come back because of a smart comment you...
You may have cracked the case if it was rolling and in park and you just pulled the t-case in gear it will suddenly stop and something has to give. The civy aluminum cases break all the time from this. If you notice when it is still moving and put in park it will just click allot and not stop...
Or rather then waste the time to say look in the TM you could just answer the simple question.

an A3 with no winch is going to be in the 6k range retail. with winch you might get 12k or a little more if it is close to perfect with fiberglass hood. Check eBay and other sites and see what they are actually selling for not what they are listed for.
