    mep002a injector pump?

I had the very same problem. Upon cranking the engine, fuel would not get past the injection pump and to the injectors. The problem was this broken piece within the injector pump. Search here on SS and you will find threads that will guide you on how to disassemble and repair the problem...

    Massachusetts registration & insurance

So the saga continues; I'm trying to register and insure a bobbed deuce. I reeeeeeeeeelly want this thing to end up with a passanger registration so I can transfer the plates from a previous pass. vehicle. I'm really urging this option for a couple of reasons. First is the new rate of $300...

Converting a m932a2 tractor into a bobbed truck

Nice, it looks just like it was ment to be!

Converting a m932a2 tractor into a bobbed truck

RRR, what bed is that that you used? That canvas looks like it fits great! The reason I ask is that if one was to trim a deuce bed, (which yours looks a little different) how do you deal with finding a canvas that fits?

    Official Deuce Aftermarket Wheel Thread

That is some very nice work! This is a great option for the use of MRAP wheels. It looks like the back spacing will put the tire further outboard than usual but it will work. Especially since there is no machining to be done to the wheel itself it makes life easier for a lot of folks out there...

Cool! That crane rig looks good too!

Was that you who won the trailer frame tounge and crane boom lot? I was checking out that trailer tounge, that piece looked real nice. If its you, are you building something? I had toyed with the idea of bidding but the pintle drops down and would not work for what I had in mind. Good luck...

Help with 10 Lug wheel conversion

FMTV's are a newer vehicle - Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle or LMTV - Light Medium Tactical Vehicle. The first picture is a LMTV from Google and the second is a FMTV, also from Google. The wheel job converting the steel FMTV's to the deuce was pretty easy but time consuming.

Help with 10 Lug wheel conversion

Thanks for the picture, my conversion is for sure with FMTV/LMTV wheels. You pic. of MRAP's, HEMMT's, and FMTV/LMTV's are all different. The first attached picture is what I had to work with. The second is my conversion compared to a standard deuce wheel with 11.00/20 Michilins (all six...

Help with 10 Lug wheel conversion

I'd do just what others have mentioned, swap the tires to the hemtts you already have. It looks like the off set on those aluminum wheels is way more than what you want on a deuce. Machining them and installing adapter plates would be more tricky and costly than getting more hemtts or making...

How have you civilized your MEP Generators?

N1oty, would you happen to have a photo of the CEP distribution box? I have been trying to think of a way to do pretty much what you have. Also do you disconnect the ground wire from the selector switch box to the genny frame when running power to your house and then reconnect it when running...

    We're Baaaaaack!

Like everyone else, on Memorial day I wanted to see what was new, only to discover the site had vanished! Similar to a few months back with the "Coward" emails, I thought for sure that given the holiday, the people with a grudge had really struck again. I checked my email for any odd messages...

MA, 5 Ton, CDL, MA RMV

OK, so that is good news, but how do you register and insure and inspect it?

MA, 5 Ton, CDL, MA RMV

In regards to "not giving out too much info to the insurance co.", I'd be a little leary about that. If you ever had an issue/accident and you actually had to use your insurance they might deny you when they figure out exactly what you really have going on.

MA, 5 Ton, CDL, MA RMV

Right, OK; In MA its an expensive hobby, if you want to regularly drive a deuce: -Bring your paper work to your ins. co -Ask them to ammend the GVW to 15000 pounds (2000 pounds over the vehicle weight) -Tell them that its not for commercial use -Pay $1300 a year for ins. -Go get plates at the...

MA, 5 Ton, CDL, MA RMV

That is contrary to what my insurance co. has stated to me. From what I understand, if you ammend the GVW, the data plate is similar to: just because it says you can doesn't mean you should. What I mean is, if you ammend your GVW on your registration and get scaled with a load then you better...

    fuel return line noise

"I would try to add the front fuel line to even out the fuel to your injectors." I'm not really sure what you mean by this????? I talked to the head mechanic at a large fire department today and he suggested adding ATF to the fuel tank to see if anything will clean up. He also mentioned...

    fuel return line noise

Mine has been tapping for quite some time (possibly a year). Mine hasn't blown up yet. I only get black smoke if you stomp on the throttle or are trying to accelerate up a hill. If you listen to all the high pressure lines with a stethescope (with just rubber tubing on the end) you will hear all...

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

I'm another victim of inferior rubber zip boots. My truck came with solid rubber boots that had both sides crack. I had to cut them out and I replace them with zips from Memphis. About six months later the pass. side horizontally cracked (rubber felt like it thinned out then tore). Threw on...

    fuel return line noise

My number one injector line is also tapping (esp. when listened to with a stethescope). I swapped it with the number two injector. The number one spot is still tapping, also increases speed with engine rpm. I am beginning to believe that there may be a stuck check valve some where in the...
