M35A3 valve stem..fill with normal air chuck?

The A3 doesn't have an aux. air port anywhere like under the glove box in the deuce? CTIS also has a regular schrader valve on the face of the diaphram. Check to see if the air dump (if equiped) is open or closed, its the flat slotted fitting on the elbow where the hose goes into the rim...

    Official Deuce Aftermarket Wheel Thread

I am working on modifing FMTV wheels with the help of several SS members here. The designing is done and I'm waiting on a prototype to test fit. This seems like a simple mod., just like the HEMTT's with the bolted in plates. FMTV wheels = 20 bolts instead of 16 and dish out unlike the flat...

    MEP 021D Help

The gauge might not be working, try and test with a multimeter. Might be the prob. if you have 60HZ. Nice rig!

    Deuce Seating Position

I'm not as giant as you guys, but I also disliked the thickness of the back rest. I removed the canvas cover and sliced the backrest foam like bread to make it thinner and then reinstalled. I like it a lot better now.

    Canvas cargo cover question.

When did the switch happen twards the rubberized canvas with the rubber bungee tie down cords? Also the newer rubberized canvas covers are all one piece rigs.

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

BadMastard, I have decided to cut out the centers on the FMTV wheels that I have and get plates made to bolt to the inside with the 20 studs. By using a 1/2" plate it will give me great back spacing averaged over 6 wheels of 8.88". The back spacing is measured from the further most interior...

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

His are welded in deuce centers. I'm going for bolt in plates.

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

I'm ready to rock, I just need to find an affordable machinist! Here on the cape they are getting $80-$100 per hour. I called off cape north of Boston and they are around $55 per hour. The problem is that the measurements have to be precise if an out of town shop does it, and I'd have to ship...

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

Thanks Gringeltaube, that is the exact number that I came up with after scraping some paint and using vernier calipers. I was going with a dished chamfered depth of 1/8" which seems in the ball park. (I did see the dwg of the bowl shape and the 49 degrees.) I faxed my drawing to a shop today...

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

I've searched high and low, does anyone have a quick answer to the diameter of the lug nut hole in the deuce wheel? I'm not looking for the chamfer angle or anything else, just the diameter the lug stud goes thru. I am working on my FMTV adapter plate drawing and this is the only number I don't...

    winch questions

In your case, 91W350, I wonder if the gearheads on here might say that your pto back lash is too tight. Just a thought but it sounds like the gears are turning with more force than the drive shaft friction (winch internal gears) can stop. Also the (drive shaft friction), you are probably...

    Hook lift Deuce?

"There is no way in heck that I would spend $17-$19k to add a swaploader to a deuce platform. Get a big truck to handle the job!" Right?!!! So where can I get a M1075 with all the trimmings? That is one sweet looking truck and she sounds great too!

    Trouble getting MEP-003A going

Ok, thanks that spells it out better. Just one thing though, if this wire is disconnected and you want to run a tent city or a welder ONLY, do you need to reconnect that wire we are talking about? I just looked at mine and the back of that lug has 3 wires. One goes to the neg. on the slave...

    winch questions

Before I installed my pto/winch shaft the pto flange also spun while the pto was in neutral. I don't think the backlash is too tight when the pto was installed. With the drive shaft removed I was able to (kids don't try this at home) stop the spinning by touching it. Once the drive shaft was...

    Trouble getting MEP-003A going

The way that I understand you is that you are talking about the actual genny wiring from the reconnection box to the LO in the output box. Is this the spot that you are suspecting a double connection with ground and neutral? I have read about having to disconnect something in there, that was...

There is a million places relitivly near you! I wish I lived in you neck of the woods! You've got a guy on Ebay who is in NC and there is Gay's Tires and another one I was just about to type and forgot the name. Oh yea, Berg tire. Trouble getting MEP-003A going

I would also like to appologise to the OP and SS for at this point taking this thread in a total different direction. (pardon the spelling, I can't get spell check to work here) Also as a note, I regard heavily on what Speddmon has to say, in my book he is the guru when it comes the genny...
