I already have a 12v set up using a converter. Single 12v battery under the pass. seat fed from converter. Is the dual altinator suffecient for charging the deuce 24v set. How does this work, two outputs 12 one wire and 24v on another?
I was given a HD 12v inverter to 120v from work and wanted to use it in my deuce. I guess I could theoretically run the 12v from my 24v to 12v converter to power it but this is starting to sound like stretching the converter capabilities. My question, without abandoning the inverter and buying...
Just think of the wooden stake like an axe or sledge with a broken off handle. Like everyone said - take it out in pieces.
On the same subject, my m116 genny trailer has metal bows stuck in their pockets. I noticed a small lip underneath on the trailer pocket that they stop to so I can't...
In the future when adding electrical accessories to my truck I will be using this set up. Right now its only rigged for 12V but I will be adding an identical fuse/distribution block for 24V use. This is the simplest way I figure, its how boats are done (these are boat products). I love how...
"Why would you want to cut it shorter?"
"What is wrong with it in stock form?" Doghead
I agree 100%. Unless you need to create a submarine, the original design is fine. My truck did not come with a rubber tube on the end of the slobber tube. I ran it like this for about a year and found that...
deuce starting
I have never had to touch the throttle upon start up hot or cold weather.
"Mine will fire up in less time than I can remove my hand from the red button once I push it." Barrman
Like 3 spins of the crank start up - real quick!
Is it maybe an air flow/intake issue?
I say...
Kastein, are you talking about the Bass Pro near the Foxboro stadium? I just found out that there is a guy with a yard just befor the stadium on the left if coming from 495. I can't rember the name off the top of my head, I'll look it up when I get home.
This reminds me, a while back on Nantucket I had a Tacoma w/w. I was aired down just fine and was driving along a fairly firm and wide expanse of beach at low tide. All of a sudden WOOMPH! The drivers side of the truck sank to the axles while the pass. side was still on solid sand...
Any insite to where "placed correctly" exactly would be? I'm thinking that a significant hole will have to be drilled and a tube welded in so the rubber flex hose can be clamped to it. Of course some how installing the "SCAVANGING" valve in line, right? All this work, I think I'd keep mine...
That's Florida sand, it's different. [thumbzup]
Right, what he said!
Keep in mind that all sand is not created equal. I lived on Nantucket for a while and air pressure would be different for different beaches (civi vehicles). Some beaches sand was more firm and you could get away with not...
I'm on both sides of the fence on keeping the fuel kill out while the truck is off. I thought it was a good idea except for the linkage spring being under constant pressure. But somewhere I heard that keeping it pulled out could harm something in the fuel pump (not sure what, this just sticks...
I also had the same thought, why isn't it attatched to the intake for burning the vapor that comes out and not waste it. But somewhere along the line some one said that this could seriously add to a run away diesel situation. Think about it, engine running, you pull the fuel stop handle, fuel is...
You work 9 1/2 days a month?!!! Whadda ya got to do to get a job like that, thats the perfect MV hobby schedule. In regard to the truck deal, I say go for it. Whats he going to say, no? Then you just make a money offer.
Kinda like this, but I don't think I'll do it. (two views - top is looking at the truck from the side and the bottom is looking at the truck from the front) So the lunette would be to the right and the feet to the left, hinge down - tow bars will be angled with feet on the ground, clamp lunette...
Recovery, yeah it looks tricky because of the weight but I am invisioning placing the bars on the ground, lifting the lunette end and straping it to the frame handle (ratchet strap or short line) then lift the feet end and loosely clamp them (long enough bolts to start the nuts). Then push the...
