no kidding, all night? Dang :turn: When i got home I went over the whole harness looking for shorts and found nothing, the best I could figure when I took the switches apart was that the source of the problem was inside, it started with the contacts getting the plastic hot, then when the...
I'm going to leave mine as is- I found out the more juice you got running through there the faster the switch burns up :( If I want running lights I just switch to "marker" on the lower left. But, headlights go off.
As an added tip- make sure your bright indicator is working. Mine wasn't when I...
I think you may have seen said info in the PS article on operating the multifuel, it mentions not to remove or leave the panels down because the engine was designed with them in mind to have optimum cooling.
Now, real world experience is a different matter as Bjorn stated
I cut my exhaust stack above the joint, and spliced in a 3" race bullet muffler (glasspack), 16" long, then added the tip back on. It doesn't "muffle" the engine per se, but takes the edge off of high RPM noise so it's not like a banshee everytime your running through the gears
WOW...... those are nice. And, you're right, if I saw a kit with one hub and a drop-in axle I would be DOWN, so much easier than than 20 minute swap I currently go through, less messy too
....well, someday!!! :freaked:
That's me in the driver's seat and bro as gunner
If it seems like we have a REALLY big ego, it's because we do! Who'll look to you if you don't believe in yourself, right?
just to chime in- I love this site and I've seen it come a long way. Unlike other sites that are unmoderated, I like the fact that there are mods to keep everything in line. I've been on dozens of boards with no mods and it just gets old seeing all the fighting and cussing and off topic...
yup, but I'm notoriously cheap  Also, how do those work on curved surfaces? In order to put my caution line on the tank 2" from the top level, the "caution" had to wrap up around the top halfway
3) use a blowtorch to cut the axle between the third axle differential and one of the rearmost wheels (well - if you REALLY have to...)
Did I miss anything, Gang?
just going to clarify- there's no need to cut the axle. YOu undo the 8 bolts holding it in, slide it all the way out, and cap off...
good luck, it's a blast, and you'll be amazed what the proper markings will do for the truck. I added the TP50, and fuel tank overfill warning and air tank warning, made it look ten times better than with just the new paint and B&B stencils. A lot of purists probably hate our guts, but it's...
poh! man, I bungled that one up, my real number after checking (stamped on the frame and data plate) is 012524006. Maybe I'm Dyxlesic? I know I type like that sometimes.
Connie Rod, OF COURSE!!!!! DOH!!!! sure didn't, that would have been perfect
but, we did add our lettering last night, looks pretty darn good for freehanded, just like the photoshop above
thanks guys
