Well, I had company show up, and the last two loaves of bread over-proofed, and collapsed in the oven. Darn it. That was the brown-sugar pecan bread. I May remake them tomorrow, but I got roped into taking a neighbor to a doctor appointment. Either way, they should taste fine, even if...
Guys, you can try to reign Tigger in, but honestly, heroes don't do idle well. It's the kind of roll up the sleeves, and DO it attitude that tends to drive them... so by all means, try, but don't be too hard on him when he can't stand it any more and starts pealing potatoes.
Besides, it's not...
I have a ladder for... something, not sure what. Would someone be willing to trade out to an M109 ladder?
The ladder I have is the same height as the 109, wider stance, and the hooks are bent broad, like it's supposed to go over the back end of a drop-gate. M35 perhaps?
I'll try to get...
I think I'm going to have to buy more flour..... Two batches done and chillin' for the Rally. There will be bread Wednesday. Latecomer's may be SOL, except for the pre-reserved special....
I'm running out of room in the freezer.
For you, yea, I can put some aside... Brown and serve recipe turned out GREAT. And I was able to modify it with the brown-sugar pecan swirl. In fact, I'm eating the test run now, and my husband says thanks.
I may also do a garlic bread version....
Hope the meeting's smooth, and the...
Well, Dad confirmed that he's coming down from Iowa, not sure what he's bringing down, depends on if he gets his CDL. He'll be rolling in to my place on the Monday before. Going to see if we can give Heavysteven whiplash...
Not sure entirely what his plans are, beyond attending. He may be...
Ok, I'll bring the kitchenaid. And flour, etc. Hand made biscuits are easy enough to do for 100+, if you can shake me out of bed early enough.... Yeast bread, though... for as many as will be showing up... well perhaps rolls, if I can commandeer some help.
Then again, I do have Mom's...
Same or similar dough, add 50/50 dark brown sugar, pecan meal, and a touch of cinnamon... Same bread, add melted chocolate, top with Nutella (chocoholic's dream)... Pinch off small balls of dough instead of messing around with a rolling pin, roll it in cinnamon sugar, and make monkey...
Yea, I doubt the bread would last longer than Wednesday, any way. BUT I have something the weekend before the rally, and they're talking pot luck there, so... Only so much kitchen time.
You don't ask for much, do you?
I do a brown-sugar pecan loaf... this being GA and all. I'm just not sure about making enough to feed 50-100 of y'all. I may half-bake and freeze some, if I can beg, borrow, or steal time in an oven to finish them off... BUT NO PROMISES on the bread. Hand...
Of course, now he's all in a quandary about what to bring... He may be heading your way to collect something new. He doesn't want to show up in a civie vehicle, and he's not sleeping in mine! I know how bad he snores!
(Ask him about the hunting trip and "someone stealing the outboard...
Battle plan is to have a mess of chicken, cooked off the bone and seasoned. Broth from said cooked off the bone chicken frozen in separate bags, and combine everything ( Barley, veggies etc.) on site, in a batch size depending on the number of people.
First 10 lbs of chicken processed and in...
I volunteered to have chicken stew set up Wed, to take the heat off of the MKT crew as they're setting up. The general plan for me is to be prepared to feed anywhere from 10 to 75 people Wednesday, and adjust as I see what I'm working with.
Hoping to be there in the morning, but I'd really...
I'd have called it 13, one for each child, and one for you! Those tickets on his record should make it hard for the moron to get another job hauling around children. Is it enough for him to loose his license? Either way, glad he's fired, and you're not.
My understanding was that since he, ahem, lost his shirt on the '08 ones, he wasn't going to put money upfront for another round of unsold shirts.
I don't know what the deal would be for something like Cafe Press, where the shirt is designed, but not printed until ordered by individual...
If they're back-ordered, they cannot charge your credit card. Standard vendor agreements with credit card companies is that material purchased must be shipped within 24 hours of the card being charged.
Played heck with a small company I worked with because we produced material on demand, but...
LLoyd,
How bout wrap them in aluminum foil, with a separate bag of smoking chips (pierced) and set on top of your engine block. They'll be smoked and ready to eat by the time you get to site. (You will have to dress them out, though).
