    Stock MPG

    I just towed 2 snowmobiles on my trailer with my M1008, averaged 50 mph 230 miles it took 12.45 gallons of fuel 18.47 MPG but that was on a trip around town less.

    What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

    I changed all the fluids,rotated tires,all new exhaust. sprayed the underside with preservative oil. Thankfully have a lift and warm garage (-5.5 temp this morning 1/18/11 in Maine)

    Trade my 1009 ?

    I have both 1008/1009 they both are great,but if I prefer the 1009 for my daily drive it rolls and steers easier. The ride is much better in the 1009 more under cover storage. The other nice part is 60 to 65 verses 50 is a nice thing also. But if you need a truck then that's simple answer. I...

    I added the lockout hub kit to one of the rear ends , it rolls along easier and steers better going slow.

    This works well for me. In Maine also if the vehicle didn't come with a plate light you don't need one.
