I noticed that too. You have to look at the international trucks of the same vintage. Seems only they used the GT37. That kinda limits the possibility of finding them in a yard since there are a **** of a lot more fords than internationals. I wonder if the GTP38 would work since it's still the...
Now we just need a guinea pig to slap one on a truck and see if anything blows up.
EDIT: Is this the turbo we're talking about here? http://www.cardone.com/Products/Product-Detail?productId=2T251&p=rock&jsn=1180
My bed is off the truck and I need to know how much space there is on a stock M35 between the bed and the cab. If someone with a truck that's in one piece could measure that for me I'd really appreciate it!
That seems to be about what they go for on the big auction site. They're definitely not getting any cheaper now that the government isn't selling any more.
I can't help you on the number of rings off the top of my head, but I bought a set of 6 complete piston/liners with 2 new style headgaskets included for 465 shipped a few months back. Just checked and seems like eastern is asking 295 per kit. LOL
The hardtop described in that PDF already has the overhang which I think is a very useful feature. Probably wouldn't be too hard to integrate a DOM tubing roll bar. I'd also like to add a small roof rack and mounts for lights.
Do you really need to include the master? Offering it as an optional addon might be good, but I think most people around here would rather just get the bracket to mount it.
Could you post some more details like what years/models you grabbed the parts off of? The only big truck I've ever messed with is my M35 so this UD stuff is brand new to me and I'm not seeing too many good results on google.
I wouldn't drive it with a leaking brake line. Replace the fitting and use a new copper washer. Here is a link to the part numbers you need: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?123335-DEUCE-BRAKE-LINE-REFERENCE-GUIDE-(Sizes-lengths-fittings)&p=1735080&viewfull=1#post1735080

No, I just used a picture from the first page to show what I was talking about. Unfortunately now that I painted the air cylinder I found a dent in the side which makes the whole dang thing useless. I hate how hard it is to find good cores that can be rebuilt. Just bought 2 and one was...
So I have this long airpack that I'm rebuilding and I painted this end of the cylinder where the gasket is supposed to sit. Should I strip that part back to raw steel or will the gasket seal even if the surface is painted?
