Have you checked to see if the FDC has been bypassed if it ever had one.If it has that might be were you are getting a little extra power.

What is the best way to clean them when they get like that.Can you use a bench wire wheel or will that destroy them.

Are you cutting the frame in the middle were the rearend goes and welding it back together,or cutting the frame at the rear and bolting it all back together.I cut mine at the rear and bolted it all back together no weld.

Is there no more money in the budget.The paint job needs to match a little.I like the old school look but this is not it.

More than likely the balancer bolt is not tight or not tight enough.The balancer wobles back and forth from on and off the throttle till it wears or sheers the key.

When it sheared the crank key it caused the harmonic balancer to move it knocked it out of balance.If im not mistaken these motors are like a 454 Chevy externally balanced.When the balancer moved it moved the heavy part of the balancer in a bad spot,it broke the crank.Vibration killed the...
