Please bear with me as I am out of State and dont have the right equipment;
Will post picture Sunday, or, if a Mod will add it for me;
Storm51's M37, which was very well received last month under some fine competition, is my nomination for January 2015.
By the way, with 2014 all finished up, we will need a post or thread on who will be making up the 2015 calandars with all these drop dead gorgeous machines, and when they will be ready for distribution. Hopefully, we'll have some made up before January is up.
Not sure what the plan is there, but...
Well it would be, if I wasnt on the road to Florida early in the morning.
I hope someone nominates it, cause I'll be out of pocket for a while.
I think Patracy should do the honors. He has all the luck!;)
She could be fired for marking them as delivered and not delivering.
The postmaster general set the 70 pound limit.
I thought it was high, but it is what it is.
I have shipped many 65 pound boxes of shackles and they dont like them, but people at the counter often realize it pays their salaries...
How long are they Chris. I love chains. Wish I havent sold all mine.
It would be interesting to know how many would fit in a medium priority mail box (flat rate), if they still have that in 2015. Great way to ship up to 70 pounds but you get those funny looks at the post office. :-)
For those who havent read it, the new contract is for non rolling stock.
The Government Planet rolling stock contract is not affected in any way.
Just added to avoid any confusion.
Nothing to disagree about at all. You may have taken it wrong. I just offered one recourse of many. Not trying to write a book here about ALL the different approaches. Thats why I said, carry on (the complaints)
At some point, we may want to collectivly write up our grievances, in adult manner, and I might submit another letter to the government procurement contracting officer for her review. They would take those grievences, if properly written, and use them to renegotiate the contract options, or, a...
Remote lighting for a license plate light is state by state.
I posted about a City LEO pulling me over in Florida one time, because I didnt have a license plate on a new trailer. He told me the state of Florida requires lighting on the license plate. I had magnetic lights on with no license...
Last week folks to vote for Storm 51's ground up restoration on a vintage vehicle from the Korean War era.
The M37 was used in Korea and in Viet Nam.
Top speed near 45 but will go higher, the 3/4 ton dodge was a real workhorse carrying ammo, ambulance, cargo, troops, commanders vehicles, and...
So I'm looking at one of these. The 60" loading height is a killer though. I was wondering what the height might be if I put some M1061 tires on it.
I recall my M1061 was also high, even with the tires, which were lower than the 9X20s.
My bobber has the 395s on it so that would be a match, yet...
[thumbzup]Fantastic! I wake up in the middle of the night to check and all is well. What a fantastic journey. You made us feel, while we were in the safety and comfort of our own homes, we were part of the trip. Hardly so, as we did not suffer the consequences, the anguish, the incidentsls and...
London, Ky to Spartanburg, SC is only 270 miles and 4 hours and 4 minutes according to Google maps, so you can probably make it in 3 hours. :3dAngus:
No, seriously, 270 miles is still a good haul with a MV and we're on the edge of our seat watching and praying for you.
Hopefully, you make it...
Your best bet there, and cheapest, if it is running, is to let Ron just drive it up. He loves doing stuff like that, and is excellent in mechanical skills.
He would have to check it out and verify the worthiness of such a trip and might make some recommendations for improving it before the trip...
I think it was the North Koreans hacking into the system.
Wow! Thanks for the pics. That's a weird looking failure. Is all the mounting hardware intact? I know its dark out now. Sure hope it doesn't tie you guys up long and you can get right back up on the road OK. You sure have some of the...
