just curious if there is a tachometer provision or is it possibly displayed in the multifunction display and I did not notice. I figured with the speed sensor off the flywheel it is being or atleast could be monitored. I thought is would be of interest to know if I was running at 1800rpms.
Just a quick update after several months of collecting pieces....I got all of my cables built, acquired a PPDU and the correct parallel cable. Yesterday I finally tried to run everything together to satisfy the quick load requirements to my spot welder and it did work. I just wanted to give my...
I totally dropped ball on this one by waiting to the last minute to see something. If anyone will be going to the GL Fort Riley KS location tomorrow I have an item I had a question about and am not holding my breath it will be answered thru their email system.
thanks
Everything I've bought previously I usually send a truck of my own or I have a transporter pick-up. This pick-up is for a single bayonet I purchased. It doesn't make sense to send a truck from FL as I have nothing else in that direction to pick-up and a common carrier cant feasibly ship it...
That sounds like it would be a cool project. I recall hearing about someone installing a VW ALH (mechanical TDI) diesel in one somewhere but I cant remember where I read about it. I think the cooling system might be the biggest issue. In the coming week or so I will be digging out my 710K and...
I was looking at it a little harder this morning and I'm a little concerned about the potential for damage occurring trying to remove it. It is a very hard and it bit very well to the board. I was hoping since it was so hard it might be brittle and break off easily but no such luck. What do...
I did notice those before but was unaware of the what they controlled so thanks for that. I remember seeing the screws but they must be factory preset as mine have a green epoxy dabbed on to them to make them tamper "resistant". Tomorrow when I get a few minutes I will give this a try. I...
Do 2 generators running in parallel actually have 2x's the power output as a constant and share the load equally or does the 2nd generator only have an increase in output after the 1st generator reaches it's peak output? If they share equally would the load requirement be 1/2 that as just 1...
This is an all new learning curve for me and I by no means have an opinion I would trust as to the fix for what the issues I'm having is. The governor controller is a GAC electronic controller and one of the 1st things I did was to verify the ramp up controller was set for the smallest time...
would you believe the amperage would be doubled in parallel operation at any given RPM? My generators are on ECU trailers and I have thought about running 1 of the A/C units to preload the generator once paralleled. I wasn't sure if this would help though as the generators might only be...
The problem was not tripping a breaker, I didn't have sufficient power to perform a quality weld. The spot weld process happens very quickly and I believe the generator does not have the amperage needed at it's base idle. The engine will start to lug as the weld starts and by the time it...
Rookie....Did you ever get a chance to see a Pinz up close? I'm in the Tampa area and have a 710K sitting in my garage that needs to get out and see a little fun pretty soon. I see it looks like there are other in my area but I've only seen one other on the road. I would love to get out with...
Did you build your own cables or were able to find them as surplus? If you got them as surplus I'm guessing did you did so on GL? I've been searching for them and haven't had any luck, that's one of the reason I bought a crimper. I would much rather be able to find them as surplus if possible...
