Oddball and indy4x4fab, I'm heading up to Haspin for the rally the middle of June. If I can take anything up or bring something back to Central Florida for you, just let me know. I'll be pulling the goose neck with my pickup hauling the M1009 and M1102 on it.
Doc, you mentioned hats and t-shirts, anything I need to do to get a shirt or two? I don't want to come back to Florida with just Northern mud on my CUCV:?

Notched V-Belts Many studies have shown improved efficiency and life for notched V-belts when compared with standard belts.
A notched belt reduces slip and allows the belt to bend around sheaves with less energy loss. Reduction in motor speed and efficiency occurs...
The belts with notches on the inside? I like them better then the solid belt myself, it would seem to help with the belt going around the small alternator pulley and help dissipate some heat.
The line up was fine, the only item I had to change was the inlet/outlet end hold down strap. The tubes were to close to the core and that's where the strap went, so I had to cut the strap and make it work. And like corelokt said, it's not a tight fit so some sealing around the edges will help...
Doing good Adam,
I'll be leaving Central Florida Tuesday morning after I leave the fire house and heading north on I-75, I'm driving my pickup with the M1009 and M1102 with the S-250 Army RV in it on the goose neck trailer. I can plan on meeting up with your convoy Wednesday around Knoxville...
Wreckerman,
I've worked with Doc before and he is a good guy. I was picking up at an unmanned site and I couldn't be there when he was, so he lined me up with a local he knew that picked my trailer up for me.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.
Got the new heater core installed today with new hoses, put a shut off valve on the 5/8 hose so I won't share the heat inside the cab of the M1009. Waiting on the new aluminum radiator to get here so I can finish it up. Put new belts on it also, sure was a lot easier without the radiator in the way.
This is the rear bumper BO lights and brackets that I just took photos of. It's a double angle with the upper part bent to match the angle of the bumper. Sorry for the Florida mud that's in the way.
