They are both 1997's, transit style. Our current church bus is too small, kids want to come to church and can't fit...so time to buy a bigger bus. These ones I am looking at are either 72 or 78 passenger.
Our current bus has around 150,000 miles and it is a 1990. It is an international...
I am looking at some school buses for the church...they have many buses with the 5.9 and many with the DT466, which is better or doesn't it matter?
All the buses have between 103,000-117,000 miles and they run about $6,000 grand for either. Just curious if anyone has any experience or opinion.
I didn't want to have to pay the extra $60 either, but it is a must.
Bob, I still got mine and my dad's titled as a pickup, however they would not put the model as m35a2, they just left that blank.
Gunner, do you know the guy with the 5-ton tractor? I talked to him on the phone and he says...
If you already paid sales tax, which they will take it out since you are from MI and bought the truck in MI...you will not have to pay again.
Take SF-97 and whatever other papers they give you to SOS and they will issue you a title. I did call my insurance company and told them what I bought...
I had to purchase the SF-97 for both mine and my dad's truck. I called the SOS prior to spending that money, and they said you must have government form 97.
Order your SF-97 right away because it takes them 30 days or so to get it to you, then go to a SOS office and make them register it as a...
Mike, what you could do it bring the 818 over a couple days early on your way home from work and we will park it out front along with my deuce and I'll just give you a ride home or something.
rz14rt, my dad and I built a Nato slave cable because I couldn't find one cheap enough. Get some used 2/0 welding cable or something close that can handle 600 amps and then get 2 ends off ebay (you might also have to buy the adapters if your trucks are the old style 2 prong).
I ended up...
My dad did say he'd loan me the money, but I know my wife would freak. I barely was able to justify a deuce.
For the prices they went for it is a win win situation, you can't go wrong. Even if you scrapped the whole truck you'd get your money back as I was quoted $250 a ton yesterday.
Once...
Welcome! I really wanted one of those trucks that went out of Lansing yesterday, they looked good and for a great price! Glad to hear a collector got one of them, the tires alone are worth about what you paid for the whole truck.
Another thing you could do is bring the truck or just bring...
Lansing must be a good place to get trucks at good prices, a nice looking truck went for $1780 and a really nice one with brand new T831's went for under $2600 and the other one with T831's that didn't look as nice went for under $2600 too. I tried to convince my dad to buy one and he said mom...
We are getting closer to this event and I will be PM'ing folks and finding out any interest for the military vehicle show Nov. 13--rain or shine! If it is raining we will obviously have our food indoors.
If you are talking about deuce batteries my dad and I just got the biggest CCA ones that Wal-Mart sells...I think they are the 65D's and they are $77 each so you will need 4 of them. You will have to put some 2x4's in there to brace them because the battery box is too big.
Or you can go get...
I called a couple of truck shops hoping to find those seals cheaper than from the surplus dealers and one said the numbers are good, but he cannot get them. The other found them and they would be $27 and $41 respectively....looks like I'll be getting them from one of the surplus dealers...
So would the other name for RACE be "wheel bearing cup"?
I found the bearings and they are $44 each, I think I'll wait and only buy those if I need them. I called my local big truck parts place and asked them about the axle seals and he didn't know, he said if I brought them in he could...
The Harbor Freight part number you have listed on your web page for hub flipping is wrong, you have "3835-0VGA" listed...according to Harbor Freight's web site the part number is "38335"
Napa's part number for the 3" spindle lock nut is now SER 2445 according to their website.
I'm just...
Joe has a jumper cable...you shouldn't need to bring anything.
Glad to hear the EUC's are going through, and shorter than the normal 60 days! they must need to clear out some room for something else.
I have looked that truck over pretty extensively and I've talked to the owner, it must run because it is in a different spot than the last time I looked. He says he bought a m915 to haul his toy instead. This truck isn't a m818, it is a m52a2 with a multi-fuel engine. I'd like to buy it too...
I've seen ccequipment rims, and they aren't a different offset from my observations. They are just flipped backwards with the plates on the outside (which is inside because they are flipped).
I got my hemtt wheels and plates from 13mike, and I really like them. I run my plates on the inside...
I'm cheap too, I have $650 into my 7 46" tires, I have 3 brand new XML's and 3 75% XL and 1 brand new Goodyear AT2...it would just be really sweet to have all the same tread all the way around and in XZL.
