I think I am driving glenn's trucks over to TedG's place, probably Friday the 17 would work best for me. I hear Ted's storage location is only 2.5 miles from the GL lot. I can just make one extra trip and drive yours over there too.
My suggestion is to simply contact every insurance company that you can (maybe up to 10), give them pictures of the deuce, give them an accurate description of the vehicle and its intended use...then be honest about your driving record.
The lazy ones or the ones who simply do not know will...
the five ton multifuel tractor is right on M15 just north of Millington, on the west side of the road. It is nice I posted some pictures on here in another thread.
I've heard that GL is currently not cancelling sales at 60 days because BC is taking so long, so I wouldn't worry about anything...
the burb I'm looking at is a '88 3/4 ton with the 6.2 diesel. Now I just need to find the correct bumpers and grill guard.
the 235/85r 16's will probably be a tall enough tire.
I am currently looking for a suburban to do this with (once I convince the wife) since we can't afford a H1 hummer which is what she wants.
Do you have a functioning 24 volt slave cable jumper port? If you do, how did you do it?
Also, I do not want to put a lift on the truck, but I like the...
rz14rt, I just heard yesterday that the albright auction truck did not sell for enough, so it did not get sold. If you are tired of waiting, I've seen some private sale trucks for around $2000, not sure if they'd make the long trip though.
By the way, there is a sweet 5-ton multi-fuel tractor...
I'm thinking of getting a cucv or a suburban with a 6.2 diesel and making it look like a cucv and I have access to a couple hundred gallons of wmo and home heating oil. I have a set up with a hand crank pump going through 2 filters (spin on 10 microns), one is a regular fuel filter adn the...
I thought the closing price was $2800? I guess I didn't see the final price, but we looked at it up close and it wasn't in that great of shape. The only thing going for it was apparently that you didn't have to wait and it already had a title.
Wow! Well, it looks like a got a work party. Now I just have to round up all the parts, maybe Southwest will have most of them. I got my lug nuts from them for $1 each, much better than the inflated prices on the internet.
L999here, The truck is not mine, I found it for sale. I did talk to the owner on the phone yesterday and he will probably not be interested in a trade because he just bought a m915 as the replacement for this truck.
I really want the truck, but can't justify it just sitting around, I'd have...
Here are the pics as promised, but I still can't figure out a sure way to make money with it. I want to keep the fifth wheel plate on it and haul stuff for folks...just have to line up folks to haul stuff for! And then a trailer to haul the stuff on.
I'll buy coke's, pepsi's, mt dew's, whatever! My dad has been working on his truck. He has the normal caved in hard top repaired. He has the store bought batteries all arranged so nice and snug in the battery box (way better than mine), and now he is looking at painting the couple of rust...
I don't drink beer, you'll have to have Cokes for me!
Travis, thanks for the helping me flip the hubs offer, once again if someone comes to help me with that don't expect free beer from me, but I'll give you all the cokes that you want.
I have 46" tires on hemtt wheels, but it isn't a bobbed truck. It really depends how you bolt together your wheels, if you put the plate on the back side you will be fine. If you put it on the front you will probably rub.
With that being said, from what I have read on this forum you can't...
I found a nice looking m52a2, 5-ton tractor with the multifuel engine and it is a decent price, but I can't justify buying it unless I can find a way to make money from it. Any ideas?
So far, my ideas are...
1. recovering other people's stuff from GL (MI just doesn't have that much stuff that...
no winch, if I get a chance I'll take some pics. I want to go back and look at it again anyway so that I can get the phone number and at least talk to the guy and find out about the truck.
I am not asking if I can make money by selling parts or whatever, I want to keep the truck as is and I am just wondering what I could do with it to make money. I am trying to figure that out! I have a deuce and want the multifuel 5-ton tractor; just have to find a way to pay myself back.
