M116A2/3 would work well. Same 8 x 6.5 bolt pattern. Add a wider steel frame over the wheels and build the tear drop.

The set I posted above are the correct GM 8 bolt wheels They fit. The center hub is large.

GM 16 steelies work and look good. 8 on 6.5 and fit the hub well. The pictured ones have a chrome face that can be removed or plain painted can be found. Newer GM changed to metric too.

This M101A2 has been a great trailer. Tows great behind the 2500HD I get many questions when I am towing it around. I bought four matching Kayaks and have been using the trailer to haul them to the lakes and streams in Pa.

You could take it here and they could do the work. http://www.sixrobblees.com/ Or order an axle to your specs spring center, hub face, electric , and bolt pattern. The only issue will be the lower shock mount that will need to be custom.

Any older 8 bolt Chevy, Dodge, GMC, or Ford wheel with a 8 on 6.5 pattern will work. and tuck inside the tub. Newer super duty and 2011 and up GM are metric and will not fit. Local recyclers or craigslist should give you good results as will Summit Racing.

Looks great! I went with Expanded metal on my M101A2 It works well but adds weight.

These are the nuts you need. 9/16 stud and 7/8 external thread.

Not sure what thread the 1102 is but this is the place I ordered from. Give him a call with your 1102 size and tell them what caps you are running.

That cage is awesome as is the custom side entry cover. I would use it as is but remove the internal slides and just keep the skeleton.

I ordered mine from ebay with the correct thread and outside thread so I could use the factory center caps.
