I would like to have a winning bid item picked up at 3100 Creekside Parkway, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137 and then shipped via UPS to Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805. I will provide exact destination address via PM if you would like to do this for me. The total weight of the two items is 60LBS, 30LBS...
I have a mobile MEP but I would have to pull it. I have a car trailer to pull with no extra room on it for the MEP. For the short term, the 400amp dual will have to work as my charger.
74M,
I plan on boondocking often. That is the reason for the four 225mah batteries. I want to have plenty of battery storage and since I do not have a regular generator, I wanted a larger Alt to help out in the recharging area. An inverter with smart charge capability will be installed as...
You can also see the mirror reflection in ALL the windows. However, it is pretty cool looking. I don't see why it couldn't be done using a short wheel base vehicle.
I am converting my rig into a camper. I believe the amp break down, on the 400 amp alt, is 350amps at 28v and 50amps at 14 volts. It is a Niehoff and has the regulator with it. I have the cta8.3 Cummins engine with no extra goodies installed yet. It looks like it will fit, with maybe a few...
Oh, yes I can see how it may be confusing. In my head it was perfectly understandable. I am building a bed frame inside the van. I want to put the fresh water tank under the bed, inside the frame of the bed. There is much less chance of freezing with the tank inside the van...
I have been reading the TMs to find any Van specs. Nothing surfaced. I am putting a fresh water holding tank in the van, under the bed frame. It is a 120 gallon tank. So, a little over 1k of weight in one quartered section of the van. I don't want to cause bending issues with van floor. I...
I received my Florida transferable title. It just says "Truck" For the type of vehicle. I called the local Sheriff and ask him to come do a vin inspection. Since I can't drive it to town, no insurance, he came out. Nice guy. He has a 5ton they use for a mobile command post. It is the non...
7 or 8 KW is more than enough. No, the three phase a/c unit would need three phase output from the generator. Unless the generator you put on the truck has the capability of 3 phase, it's a no go. There may be wiring options available to make it work but straight hookup, no.
I took out the panels on my 934. I still had the heater but the a/c was gone. There was no asbestos in my particular van. I also opened all the wall panels. I had very little rust. I got lucky. The two side walls have weep holes but the four corner panels had none. Like smurf, I had a...
I am torn between not putting the filter back and cutting the new hose and putting it back. I just hate putting it back in because that is where the air leak happened and I lost prime. I guess it is just like most other filters and it is what it is. I would like to put better clamps on the...
Pictures of Field Replaceable fittings on the 939 Series trucks
Now, I am not sure if other series trucks have these or not. I suspect they do but all I have in front of me is my M934. The following pics will hopefully help others in the future.
This picture shows how the end fits on the...
Trk2bg, I just found this out today. You are correct.
I went to three different local places so they could see the fittings. Nobody knew what they were or could reproduce them. I didn't know anything about them either. However, a guy at CarQuest knew about them and showed me how to take...
I did a basic ID check on the hose ends. While the OD of the fittings are different, the internal diameter is the same. So, disregard the part where I said the two ends were different sizes. They are, but not where it counts, the same thread ID. It looks to be the same thread pitch as well...
My truck, M934A2, would not start this morning for the first time since I have owned it. I checked the fuel lines as suggested in other forum posts and found that the fuel line where the small filter is located is sucking air. You could hear it when I pushed on the filter and line. I looked...
That is exactly what i would love to do for an off-road toy. Keep it 6x6, extend the cab and have a bed on it. I could still pull out quite a bit of firewood even with the bed shortened. Nice job! I am new to vehicle fabrication so it is a bit overwhelming but I intend to try it anyway.
Nice install. I want to do this as well but I want air ride seats with arm rests. Arm rests seem to add an inordinate amount of money to the purchase price. Oh well. This isn't a cheap hobby. Anyway, love the look and congrats on the seats.
