Yep, would have been right. I made the assumption it had to do with oil because it was low. Never thought about charging problems. BTW, it also blew my microwave during its last gasps. Coincidence? Maybe but it is a pretty big one. But between all the smoke alarms going off, the microwave...
Looks like there is a regulator on the back. I found one exact match. It is in Guam. Joy.
I tried for replacement parts but my **** power keeps going out and I lose my links. Does anyone know a good place to purchase this? I can find the basic alternator LR220-24 but not with a regulator...
Ah, okay. Got it. For future people. TM 9-6115-642-10, page 0004-1, figure 1, #21. It is a regular glass tube fuze behind the control panel. NOT being a jerk, Zed254. You got me there. :) Thank you!!
BTW, the fuse is good.
Looking over the multi colored circuit diagram I downloaded from this forum, I don't see where the battery charging circuit fuse is located. Right now my mind is half burned out so I am probably just missing it. Pointers?
I just checked battery levels with multimeter. One is 8.9 and one is 7.8. Is it possible my alternator went out and the genset ran until the batteries could no longer support the draw any longer? Not sure if that is possible. ??
I checked the belt and it is in great shape. The engine was...
Yes, fuel is a 3/4 tank. Checked via gauge and visual. I did a basic check of wires and fuzes. Didn't see anything loose, missing, burnt, or fuzes popped or burnt.
Sorry for short, quick replies. I have been trying to do this via the TMs I have downloaded since I have been without power for most of the day and night. Power keeps going off and on now. NO internet with no local power.
I have now lost three replies. Power keeps going out. Yes, followed chapter 3, troubleshooting guide. Looked through LP TM. Yes, I did fill the oil back to full. Did check coolant level, is good.
Had a power outage last night. Turned 803A on, switched house power to genset power. It ran fine for 5 hours. Then there was a VERY short power fluctuation. Woke me up as my A/C unit beeped during the fluctuation. I went outside and the genset was running fine. No stuttering, nothing. I...
Well, I found a replacement pump on ereplacementparts dot com. $235 bucks. Part Number: 255-63103-10, Injection Pump AY. Manufacture is Subaru/Robin. Some other sites had it listed as low as $209. Still to much as far as I am concerned.
Okay, so how do I rebuild this sucker. LOL. That...
I just got a WDR1-270 3Kw generator with 200 hours on the unit. It will not start. I used the T.O. listed in this forum, 35c2-3-499-1, and followed the troubleshooting guide. No fuel is getting to the injector. The engine will start with a shot of starting fluid but will not keep running due...
I am still working on the rv. I have made some decent progress but no additional pics. I was Forced to do some landscaping projects by my wife. That did slow it down but didn't stop it. Honey-do's, gotta love them.
Csm, the mattress will stow vertically on the wall. It will slide down into a pocket and probably have a strap up top to help hold it vertical. Foam cushions will be used for the couch side of things. I want an actual 12 or 13 inch mattress as my bed in the rv. I took some pics of what I was...
Just as a note, Idaho did Not require a CDL for my rig. It is titled and registered as an truck/motor home. Because it is a cab and chassis style, it is considered a Class "C" motor home. Here, in Idaho. I have no idea about anywhere else.
I am am working on the bed frame right now. I...
I didn't have the asbestos problem. I assume because I got this out of Minnesota, and the cold they have up there, that the heater was used often and therefore "fixed" at some point before I got it. There was no type of insulation in the bulkhead ducts or overhead ducts (the A/C duct had a...
I had thought about making the sides of the van slide in and out like normal RV slideouts. Because the walls flipouts are full length, it would be impossible to make a spot for a bathroom as the bathroom toilet needs to be stationary over the black water tank. It would also limit me in other...
I want to post a few pics and so forth of my build so far. I started a little while ago but as I am slow, I wanted to get a few areas done to start this.
Here is the truck as I picked it up.
Here is the van extended.
I am taking out the ducting, lights and unnecessary wiring. The A/C...
