My personal thought is that the ones from LA are probably a complete loss. The ones from the MS Gulf Coast could probably be saved. I am willing to bet that a good tank drain and flushing and changing all fluids and filters would probably do the trick on them. They weren't really under water...
Hell, all that there truck needs is some head lights and he'll be good ta go :driver: . I like it just like it is, lets face it guys in the view of most folks out there painting our behemoth's (wife's words) is like putting lipstick on a pig!!! :grd:
Guys, if we can get enough interest I will be glad to take part in some type of relay. I could probably make the trip all the way through to GA if needed then we could work out some kind of distribution.
I think I could get interested in one of these too, maybe we could set up some kind of relay. I'm about halfway there here in Hattiesburg. Do you think we could get some kind of reduced price if we bought them as a group?
RE: Re: Anyone know center height of cargo cover bows?
Actually I may be headed up north to the Tupelo area, possible job change in the near future. If I do the wife and kids will be staying in Hattiesburg until the summer school break. Having spent some time with uncle sam myself, I dont...
I hate have to ask this but I just can't remember the combinations used for the standard light switches in the Deuce. Anyone have any kind of diagram that shows what SHOULD happen when the switches are arrayed in a certain configeration? I think someone has monkeyed with my switches because...
I'm wanting to get more amps nad would like to seperate my systems so that I don't run the risk of screwing up something in in 24 v system. I'm going to be running some items related to a wvo system as well as some other 12 v accessories. I also going to use it to occasionally power a high...
I have searched the threads and can't find anything addressing this question. I would like to add a 12 volt alternator to my truck and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or ideas on getting that done. Thanks for any input.
Bjorn, do you think that one could get straight veggie too hot using an interface with the exhaust system? I have been thinking about a few wraps of copper on the exhaust just before the fuel line goes into the engine compartment as a way of adding a booste of heat before hitting the filters.
RE: Re: RE: used WVO.....I think
Once your'e into the bio you will probably good to go in all conditions. I'm going to stick with using the oil, right now and doing a little engineering on my whole heated tank system, from free or cheap parts.
RE: Re: RE: used WVO.....I think
Rizzo, Sorry for taking so long to reply, been out and about. It is actually oil, the kind they use for wontons and egg rolls and the like.
Meant to say "running some wvo from the local chinese place". Its pretty viscous so I have to heat to at least 120 to filter but its great adding 20% of it to my diesel, cuts down on the heavy exhaust fumes too.
