    waiting for the tow truck

Have you tried running a rubber hose directly into the fuel pump to container of diesel? If you fuel lines don't look good they could have pin holes or cracks sucking in air.

Another update on my M1009…got the floor pan welded in!

The only parts that had any major issues where that rocker and floor pan part because they left the floor mat in and and it collected water. I lucked out on my truck, I don't have any cancer any place else. When I get the truck cleaned up I am gonna spray a rust preventive on the entire under...

Another update on my M1009…got the floor pan welded in!

Why can't I just weld a patch in, I cut out all the cancer areas and it has been done to lots of others? I don't think these trucks are unibodys and a patch has to be stronger then the rust hole that was already there. I already cut the patch out my full outer rocker so there is no going...

Another update on my M1009…got the floor pan welded in!

Now onto the rocker panel. I cut out the bad section with the dotco and used a wire wheel to clean up the inner rocket. I then used a rust preventative primer to coat the inside of the rocker. I then tapped copy paper over the area I cut out and used a pencil to scribe the area I had cut. I...

Another update on my M1009…got the floor pan welded in!

Another update on my M1009…got the floor pan welded in! Took the panel I cut last week and placed it over the hole again and traced the area along the beams. I did this so I could drill holes for the plug welds. I cleaned up the panel and the areas I was going to weld in the truck. I...

    Need help with speaker selection...

I am a complete noob when it comes to car audio. I need to find some dash speakers for a M1009 but I am not sure which ones to select. I took the console off and my dash has holes cut for 2 side speakers and one center speaker. What should I do? Purchase the 2 3.5s or one large one (not sure...

    White smoke from my M1009...

I think white smoke at start up is ok because the engine has not warmed up completely enough to burn all the fuel.

    White smoke from my M1009...

I haven't really driven it so I cant tell if the performance is effected. The engine doesn't sound any different when it does it. And it only seems to do it at a steady throttle. When I get the interior back together I am going to have to take it on a highway trip and then see what it does.

    White smoke from my M1009...

Fuel. I will drain the oil and tank probably next weekend. We are about to get hit by a tropical storm here and the weather wont be good for a few days. My only problem is where do I put all that diesel I drain out? It has about 15 gallons in it now. Should I keep it to rerun in the engine...

    White smoke from my M1009...

I tried to do a search and find an answer but none of the post seemed to deal exactly with my situation. When I give my M1009 fuel as the higher RPMs I have a bit of white smoke. It doesn't seem to be pouring out but it is there. Could this be caused by the truck sitting for awhile and not...
