Scott, first, the Bride and I have gotten a new computer. For some unknown reason, it will not let me start a new paragraph on this forum, so that is why my post have now started to run together. On the Dodge books, the best two I have is "DODGE VC-1 - WC64KD" by Emile Becker and Guy Dentzer...
Scott, Good luck on finding a WC63, I had one, they are great vehicles! I have never owned a land rover, came VERY close to getting an air portable one like you have. It was here in North Carolina, and I missed it by a couple of hours. I do have a very nice, complete 1944 British BSA M20...
Garrett, have you tried G503? It is also a fast moving forum, that has two forums for the Dodges. On the WW2 Dodge forum, it is ok, but if I had my choice I would go with G503. I have had, and have on the WWII side a about all the 3/4 ton to 1 1/2 ton Dodges. I am hard down with the flue at this...
Garret, If you go for a GMC (CCKW), go for the open cab. I have had both, the closed cab and open cab. I am 5'6 and I had to set on a cushion to see over the dash on the open cab. One of the few, Frank USMC RET.
If you are wanting a WWII Dodge, you might want to try the WC54 ambulance. It has an adjustable drivers seat, plus a heater. One of the few, Frank USMC RET
I know of that MB-2. The owner listed it on the Dodge Power Wagon forum first. I sent some information to the owner on what it was, as at the time they had it listed as a R2.
That one is one of the more complete ones I have seen, but still missing alot.

I have seen a couple of them in my time. There was one or it still might be here in North Carolina that was fixed back up.
Now, google MB-2 crash truck if you want the "rare" one. The MB-2 was a Dodge crash truck built on the M37 series frame for the Navy and Marines. I have never seen one...
I bought my 1945 Marine FFN-3 (International, 4x4, 1 1/2 ton with winch) crash truck from Catawba back in the mid 1990s.

Where in North Carolina are you at? If you are near the coast, I have one you might be able to talk me out of. Plus you can see the collection.
Welcome to the site.

Great looking truck. The good news is, it looks like it is a european rebuild, because of the mixed parts. That is a good thing. That means the truck is a new truck that should give you and grandkids who end up with it trouble free driving. Most of the big parts on it look to be from...
While in the Marines we repainted all our fire trucks in 1991 with rollers. They all turned out very good and passed the IG inspection. The fire trucks were the P19As crash trucks.

Yes, it was done in WWII, but was never fielded. The truck was CCKW (2 1/2ton 6x6). You might be able to a film clip of it on youtube.

I have owned 3 Weasels in the past, funny story on them that I will post later.
Correct me if I am wrong, but, I thought is was a M29C when it had the float tanks on it? With out the tanks it was just a M29.

PS, I will check to see if I still have any parts.
Funny we are talking about the MB2, yesterday, I was moving some old paper work and found the photo of the one that was at White Owl parts company years ago.

The half tons had higher gears than the 3/4 tom WCs, so they are faster. They will run about 55, just depends on the traffic flow if you could still use it as your dayly driver.

My first CO was Col. Chistmas (later BG Christmas) he talked about useing them in the battle for Hue. His account and the one on the history channel are almost the same.
