Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Got home last night about midnight. Lots of diesel and miles. Was able to get the front hubs with new pads and calipers installed yesterday. Dismounted 5 of 6 bead locks with run flats and installed on 16.5 dually rims. Looks good but a lift will really set it off. The wrecker bed has a small...

So, what's the one thing you'd change?

Don't know if it's been mentioned but I would like to see your location be a mandatory field when signing up with city and state. There seem to be several threads a day where someone quotes the rules referencing that you agreed to place where you live. Brett

Cucv with nv4500 5 speed transmission transplant? Need info.

Since the search button doesn't work for you, look at the bottom of the screen. It has a section called similar threads and I think it'll help you find what you are looking for. I know it's helped me on several issues. Brett

    Towing a CUCV

The uhaul would work. Not great or even good but it works. I wasn't planning on buying my truck when we did and only had my wife's 13 f150. It was fine till about 70 and it would start swaying pretty bad. 65 was the sweet spot. I'm sure it would've been better behind my truck. Biggest thing is...

    Towing a CUCV

We used the uhaul and towed about 500 miles when I bought my truck. Had to let a little air out of the front tires so the strap would fit. Make sure you get the aluminum one and not the orange car hauler. It barely fit but was my only option. If you do it as a k30 it'll accept it. Otherwise if...

    Removable Doors

To me they offer great visibility off road and that added comfort of keeping you from falling out! Brett

Lowering the M1101 Cargo Trailer w/ OEM parts.

I'm going to try this again. My truck has a 4" lift with 35s. Hitch is set at the highest setting. It's slightly nose high. Hitch is belongs to a friend that drives a ford 4x4 dually. These trailers are tall in the hitch.

Lowering the M1101 Cargo Trailer w/ OEM parts.

Wish I had known earlier. I would've swapped ya some cucv tires/wheels for your 37s if interested plus some! That would lower it about 2.5-3". Brett

Fort Hood, TX Pick up help

Don't want to start a new thread. If I have my chl, can I keep my pistol in my truck? I won a trailer and would like to pick it up Monday. Tried calling all day Friday and never got thru. If I just show up can I get my trailer or will I be turned around? It's a 3 hr drive. Ft hood brett...

    Winch on sale today.

Did anyone pick up one of these? They are still selling them for $505. I'm wondering what would be needed to run this on my cucv wrecker. Also, does anyone have any ideas on what's needed for an extra power steering pump? I'm only running on alt so have some free space. Brett

I was working my side job yesterday. I still stay local dirt roads till I get it inspected and registered. Keep having a recurring horn problem. I'll drive it more often once I get the 37s on and lower the rpms! Next time your out this way give me a hollar. You could take your truck across the...

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Once I get my hands on it I'll have a better idea of everything I guess. This will probably be a several week/month project so I'll have time to figure it all out I hope! Looking forward to getting the pieces all put together. Brett

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

I think I have this figured out. Here's my truck. I've checked it out for years when visiting family in Arkansas. Finally located the owner and asked how much or if it was even for sale. They called back and gave me a price. I checked it out the day before coming home. Wouldn't shift and wasn't...

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Where are you getting your Holmes info from? I'm trying to figure out how the winch works? I'm assuming off the transfer case the pto turns a shaft which in turn spins a sprocket that's attached to the chain spinning the winch. How do the tailboard controls control the power in/out? This isn't...
