Thanks, I didn't notice any leaks but I might have to degrease the engine bay so I can make sure, I haven't went that far but I did give the fuel lines a once over.
First off I have used the search engine with lots of mixed answers.
Sorry I know this is a redundant topic but I getting frustrated.
I have cleaned the governor with carbon cleaner, jb80, and brake parts cleaner and I still have an erratic idle. Am I missing something? I cleaned inside the...
I'm hoping I could just go to a spring shop with a size and they could build it? I need to call our local spring guy and see maybe.
So this is needed:
Lengthen dog bones- I could do this easy
Two custom drive shafts will need to be made
Spring will need to be lengthened when I move the front...
I've been searching a little without a lot of luck, I was looking for some ideas to keep both rear axles without bobbing it. I've seen a few trucks done and love it, I guess my biggest question is what rear spring to use to make it all work.......work safely . If there are other threads I...
We just put all new fuel in it after we drained the tank, I do need to change the filters though. I didn't ever hit the fuel shut off housing with carbon cleaner though.
i'm 6'3" 270lbs and i just took the padding off the back of my seat (non springer) and that did the trick. i'm going to be on the look out for an A3 steering wheel also, i could use another inch or so.
i hope i'm not asking a dumb question when i ask, what springs did you use in the rear? this is what i would like to do with mine in the future. i love the truck!!!!
Thanks Andrew! I did that this morning, I took the cover off to look inside, then I moved the linkage all the way forward and reverse a few times. Once I put the cover back on it runs 10x better but it idles at 1200 rpm now? I asked my dad about it and he told me he adjusted the idle screw...
I have actually mounted a set of 18.00 on a set of stocks, don't worry....we were just using them for a atv trailer we built for a mobile bar/music station.
No kidding, I lucked up because all their other trucks have no winches. Hopefully this will be a fun little project, it has a leak in the brakes and I think the governor is giving me a fir because it has an erratic idle.
I have been bugging my dad to get his deuce off his hands for a while, it has just been sitting in one place for years. They have several MV's they use for high line work, I have been cruising one of their five tons around with my kids in the yard, my dad seen how much fun they were having and...
I've been reading this thread because I have been thinking about buying a 5 ton my dad uses to haul poles down right of ways, it's really fun to drive and the wife can actually drive it really well, but the insurance and fuel consumption might be an issue if we plan to drive it like we are planning.
