I added that info because it's good to know , especially if you're buying a Deuce and you find a nice one but there's a ding or 2 in the sides . There are lots of M900 series truck being parted out , so finding straight sides isn't that difficult or costly. This is the case with mine
test your braking , your ABS light ( on panel) should go off after a few sec from flipping the power on . If this light stays on , you have an ABS failure somewhere , but that doesn't mean you don't have brakes . Review what porkysplace told you above , and do it
the box does vent gas out the rear of the cab. Batteries I've replaced in there have vent tubing you can actually lead right to it. There is often a hole to lead communication hookup , I'd be sure to plug that one
the A3 isn't the most desirable of the Deuces . 1st , it isn't a multifuel ( ultra cool , greener than a Toyota Prius ), 2nd it has CTIS ( can be a headache ) . There are lots of more experienced SS members here that probably can tell you more . Be careful about this 'top speed' mentality...

well you've gotten some excellent feedback , I don't disagree at all , but the key really is your description of yourself , you're an A2 owner , not the A3
FloridaAKM is correct , do not stop at the main gate . Do NOT take anyone with you that has a background issue. I called a cab ( White Cab I think ) , cab picked me up and he had a rider , said he was a 'trainee' , we went to the main gate ( wrong , meter tickin ) , then we drove up to the...
Daily , maybe more than what is needed , but keeping the tank as full as possible ( leave the expansion though ) will reduce water in your fuel . To me it sounds like your filter needs to be changed out yesterday
make sure the spring brakes aren't grabbing for some initial low air reason . My truck starts out and shifts so much better after I changed my transmission fluid
M923A2 ... I understand the clips and the brackets ect . I installed the window. The mistake I made is forgetting what the regulator was doing day 1 I got the truck. I could get it up easy but had big trouble getting it down ( that's what she said). To get it down I would crank up a notch or so...
I think the M925A2 is the best. Lighter , super singles , turbo , and yeah if you don't luck out with CTIS just take it off. The mileage showing on a truck could be actual , but probably isn't. The military can do whatever they want in setting that mileage. There aren't any consumer odometer...
The clicking sound you're talking about cycles on and off just before the air brakes purge . Mine do it too , and I think I remember it being addressed and it just got by me . I'd like to solve it myself , but that's the clicking sound you're hearing I'm sure.
handles 1,000 lbs , haven't bought one yet but planning it , would be handy in the tool box for additional yankin and you'd need an inverter
