and if I ever get an actuator ( door striker) for my passenger door ... anyone ? lol ..BUT to add something here , consider your noise reduction with replacing the inside panel with different material ( using your panel as a template) , and most of the noise is coming from below ( obviously )
no, I don't expect to sell my gen set for $13k , lol , it should bring 50 to 40 % of the new price. Delk's Surplus in Asheboro NC buys the ones with mega hrs on them and they rebuild them. They ask a bunch for theirs . Mine isn't going to need a rebuild for quite a long time I'd expect
The MEP-802As I have are new and never issued. The ground wire is still wrapped, the TM pamphlet is still wrapped in plastic , there's no wear anywhere on anything. I've never seen non issued gen sets before. They always have mega hours on em , or reworked by the military with the hour meter...
I have sold on government contracts , and that price dictates high value /quality for the lowest price , otherwise you don't get the business , so you're double down wrong saying they aren't worth what they paid new for them. Surplus is wholesale to those who put up the money and bail the goods...
Input shaft is good, new input housing and mainshaft bearings good. It is leaking engine oil from rear crank seal, not gear oil from the transmission. No excessive end play on crank, crankcase breather is clear and not clogged. There's no excessive pressure from crankcase. Air compressor is not...
I have a never issued MEP-802A. Mine is a 2010 with 8hrs . The government paid $12,800 ea for these. I've been trying to come up with a fair price to sell it for.
Hey Shea ... Albemarle NC isn't too far away from you. Jim Henry has a salvage yard there, his # 704-983-5940 . He has NOS stake racks for the M105 , has maybe 2 pallets but he has none of one side ( fiberglass). He's a good resource for just about anything and everything.
A winch would be nice to have . I saw a couple of trucks in that sale that had them. Yancy CAT is about 4 miles away from The Truck Center. In having them do your PMCS , make sure you get your axles and differentials serviced. Another SS member had the front axle lock up on him 10 miles outside...
I've pulled the M1101 with my Jeep TJ using a dual ball/pintle hitch , and I have to use an extension. As I've only used it to transport the trailer with no load for short distances , it's not level , and I'd have to do a lot of tweaking to make it right. If the surge brakes would operate , it'd...
