OK, if you put a larger motor into your deuce, say like Trango who put a Cat in his and upped his horsepower, how much will that 'give' you with better mpg, overall upper speed, etc?
I know I asked this earlier but can't find the thread I posted it in. Not that anyone deleted it, I just can't...
From the CUCV forum section:
vbr,
Gotta get that decibel meter first. And for EVERYONE HERE, RandyLBarnes installed a really nice muffler on his deuce. NOW all you hear is the engine and the whine of his 'C' turbo.
Yeah, yeah, I know I forgot to take pix. I was so impressed with the lack...
Well, I've uploaded a video file to the gallery that is currently awaiting approval.
BUT it shows a guy who decided to find a better fuel to replace acetylene for welding purposes. He was successful. It even shows him holding the tip of a welding torch with the flame lit. COOL to the touch...
OK, I loosened the top of the exhaust pipe, the one that has the ninety degree bend at the top.
I actually removed it and THEN started the engine. Much quieter, BUT exhaust smoke level started about the top of the hood and went straight up. No big deal sitting in my driveway, but I'm...
Starting on page 112, there is a five page spread on a deuce that Boyce Equipment loaned (sold?) to the Diesel Power magazine editor.
It's long on pictures and short on words. AND not all the facts are correct, but he was close.
I already sent a nice 'atta boy' type email to the editor who...
OK, I'm JUST ODD ENOUGH to swap out my transmission shift stick knob. I have one picked out with an eight ball as the knob. I've gone with the eight ball theme previously on my Harley.
I've read three TM's and have NOT found how to remove the knob from the stick. I HAVE found how to remove...
Leonard,
I went through ALL your posts and I think I got all the "Project Baby Hemmt" threads listed here in one spot. That way as you continue to give us updates, we can just add the link here and everyone will be able to see not only the progress being made but the steps you took. If I...
Here you guys go. The company name is Irac, Inc. - and the owners name is Steve. REALLY NICE GUY!!
Go to his website and click on the picture of the guy laying prone firing a fifty cal. It will bring up a very short video of a THIRTY CAL firing.
He says the fifty is twice as loud. AND when...
OK, I had Polverone Photoshop paint my deuce so I could 'get a feel' for what it could/would look like if I went with a 'purple camo' scheme.
After looking at it for about a week, it kind of grows on me. I sent a larger picture back so he could darken the light purple to medium purple and...
OK, my front right hand turn signal lamp does NOT function properly.
I disassembled the turn signal housing from the fender. I checked and I get electrical signal intermittently (25 v then 2v then 25v then 2v) at the wire connections. That tells me that I have signal to the wires. Rehooking...
Here ya go:

Actually there are TWO lots of 18 and several lots of two, plus a ton of lots with singles.
I've been looking for these 'slats' so I can redo some of my rather worn wood pieces. These are the fiberglass slats the military uses.
I got all excited when I saw this auction. 39 slats. RIGHT UP to the point where I read it was in Guam. I just can't buy a break on this one item.
So...
Ok, as promised, here are three pix of my trucks new Michelin XDY 11R22.5 tires. These are on normal (no split rim) 22.5 bud wheels. The two fronts are XDY-2's and the four rears are XDY-1's (retreads on virgin casing).
Sorry for the quality, I'll try and take some better ones tomorrow.
DR...
Well, the weather co-operated for almost the whole day. About threeish the clouds started to slowly roll in.
The day stared off at about 10:30 am when Glen McMillan (McMillag) got to my house after driving up from Colorado Springs. We started work almost immediately, as I had everything...
OK, I got a guy that would KILL to find an M-725.
I am NOT sure if I posted this in the correct place, so if it needs to be moved, I'd appreciate it.
FEEL FREE to contact me via pm or email. Plus there might be a 'little extra' something in it for the person who helps my friend. Not...
Went out to start the deuce. Flipped the accessory switch and hit the start button. I saw sparks arcing underneath the space next to the drivers seat. Opened the panel up on the drivers side floor and hit the button again. HUGE sparks and then nothing.
I crawled up under the truck but...
Ok, I have all the manuals from rdixiemiller on CD. Can some one KINDLY direct me to the correct manual for the fuel filters.
I've been looking at several over the past hour and I guess I'm just to stupid to find it.
Any help will be appreciated. I seem to have oil leaking out of the bottom...
You guys ARE NOT going to believe it. I FOUND the company that makes the in tank fuel pump and they are STILL in business and STILL selling the pumps!! I'm so stoked.
I just spoke with Jim OShea at Olympic Controls company who bought out Tokheim in 1999. Here is their web page. I'm posting...
OK, the Rocky Mountain Fifty Caliber Shooters Association is about to have three machine gun shoots.
The first is just south of Ft. Morgan and is on April 14 - 16.
The second is at Cheyene Wells (almost Kansas) and is on May 12 - 14 (yeah, I know, MOTHERS DAY weekend).
The third is just south...
