Welcome from south of the Mason-Dixon, MD says hello! I was also wondering about the A2 MUTT, do you have ROPS, gun mount, and/or radios? Seeing what's out there. Welcome once again.
cpf240,
How accommodating the lot guy Chris is depends on how much time they'll give. A lot of that depends on how busy they are. I've never picked up on the west coast, I'm sure some regulars to Nellis will chime in.
In regards to air. We've always taken a tank and filled up as needed...
I agree with you here. Always get a title before the sale in my opinion. I do know that the state of MD does not alow you to title a vehicle in another state if you're a MD resident. Do like stated above and retitle in MD if thats where you live. I'm sure the fines are unpleasant. This is...
I posted earlier on the tread and I ended up putting in a replacement vent assembly (used) instead of fabricating a new lower hinge like I planned. However, the window channel felt was shot. I ended up putting a good used piece from another CUCV and trimmed the rotten sections off and...
A friend of mine runs a BIG cable with loops on each end through the holes in the wheels of his trailer and is secured by a heavy padlock. He leaves it parked on the street with no problems.
One of my friends back in the late 90's did the work weekend a few times. She worked and slept on the boat, said she had a great time. I believe she mentioned the hull was sitting on the bottom of the harbor if I remember correctly.
Try Gulfway, talk to Carol. As long as it's not a daily driver there aren't issues. I also have two other primary vehicles for the commute and they do ask for the info on those on the forms.
Not a bad idea. I go through Military Vehicles Magazine and enter everything in Outlook myself. I'll go as far west as the Findley Ohio show and as far north as the Redball show.
Gimp is right about the A2 bed. A lot of trailers in a recent Meade auction were mislabled. Mislabled, in that there where A3 axles on A2 trailers and vise versa. I guess GL just picked whatever was on the data plate or just plain guessed.
Use the riser, Tractor Supply should have them. We...
Agreed with John. Had a great time talkin with folks and findin what I needed. Met Hawkman for the first time and he is A+; brought the part I needed and learned alot from him while avoiding the rain. On that note, waterproof boots were a must, as was Gortex if you didn't want to get wet...
Agreed with BKubu. You must also keep in mind there are two different markets here if you are looking to sell. SS members and others knowledgable in MV's will see it as you paying on the higher end, but will also agree that you got a nice truck. Then there are the folks not following the MV...
The A2's that have been released looked pretty sweet. Some of the older A1's looked a little tired. Hope there is a good supply of 923 parts for those that need em. Soo many people have been parting out M35A2's that parts haven't really been an issue.
Experienced this with my father's first trailer pick-up. Prob the exact same HF lights. They were the cheapest junk I've ever seen. They are rewired and now mounted on a wood rack than slids over the tailgate. Much better setup.
I'm in need of parts for 1009's.
1. Trailer plug recepticle. The one mounted next to the pintle hitch. When off the vehicle it has two pig-tail connecters about 8 inches long.
2. 4 Rubber groments on the cap where the radio wires pass through to the antennas.
I'll be at the show...
