fat based products are the best. especialy the stuff you had to heat up before use.

finding chevy parts is not to difficult over here, espacialy cucv parts
but often too expensive.
it is often cheper to buy parts at the us internet auction and shops like lmc truck...and the ss classifids are great ;-)

on the 4th day test driving (after a short 20min stop) the engine stalls,

running again after cranking 4 times.
same agains after the next 10 min. stop.
i bet there is some air in the diesel...

time for some new rear lights...the old ones were pretty flat.
both mountings of the sunvisors were broken.

the shipping prices are very complex.
if you asking for a quote they don`t give you the total... expect double the price with all the handling in the home port.
shipping (roll on roll off) was not to expensive...800 usd.
but all fees, taxes, service charge and in my case the long...
first i decited to clean up the truck up.
the whole inside got a nice patina covering.

that truck baldy needed some love.
someone stole the antenna mast on the way over the atlantic.

...when i got there to get the truck certainly the batterys drained completly...so i had to wait a little longer.

the truck runns great.
the custom service disassembled the interior but it was easy to put everything back in place.

-- wax (old wax will crack soon, almost no protection)
- oil
++fat (best creep and durability, especialy the stuff you got to have to heat up before...
Some experts gave me the advise to put 1l 2stroke Oil or some other cheap Oil in the tank before you fill her up with diesel. Should be good for the ip. Engine runn's smoother. I lately had some good experience with liqui moliy's ceratec. More MPG and less Oil Consuption. I Hope they Trade in...
