Sounds like a throttle cable issue to me. I would say it's the pickup line in the tanks, but you said you bypassed that with no results, so that leaves me to believe it's something simple. Or some kind of air leak in the fuel lines.
I looked into the block heater and I saw that you got one. I was interested but I don't really use the truck at all during the winter. I started it a month ago on a warm day and all was good. The only reason I would want to have the block heater is to have the truck ready if I needed it for any...
I looked those clamps up on amazon right after you posted about them. Look pretty cool. I have been looking for a fire extinguisher mount too cause mine was removed from my truck. Seems like they make one for just about everything. I'm on a college budget too. I'm saving pennies just to change...
Haha it was a quick thought before a parade. Basically a joke really. It was only on there for about 2 hours. Would be cool to rig up a strap for it though.
I have no idea what it is. I was told that it is the "new" version? But the new version is the FMTV style truck. I looked at this truck and it had the batteries where the ones are in this thread. The roll bar is very cool. You are right though, there was no armor on this truck. It was in perfect...
I'm pretty sure these are just the three different brand filters he used throughout his recovery because he was having a fuel issue.
Nice looking truck by the way
zebedee - I totally agree as well. I was posting that because I don't think anyone else here has posted something about it. I merely wanted to produce an open mind in others. I do not need a CDL in MO as long as I'm not using it for commercial purposes. I choose not to, but that doesn't mean I...
When you have a CDL, you instantly put yourself at a higher risk. When you get a simple traffic ticket, even in your everyday driver, you must get it fixed or risk losing your CDL. This could cause you problems in the future if you ever had to get a job that required one. Not to mention any sort...
Mine were pretty tight too. But nothing a 3 foot breaker wouldn't handle. I was lucky because I was reading about them being super tight. Wish I would have had my 1 inch impact when I did it. I would have had em off in 5 minutes.
It's a heavy rope! That sucker is a back breaker.
It's funny you say the smile thing with the chain. I got the same remarks with mine. "It's smiling!" hahaha. And you are correct. I use mine as a step constantly. Nice work. Those shackle nuts are tough! lots of heavy work even doing the things...
If you're stuck that bad, I wouldn't be trusting a chain anyway. Chains are way too dangerous when they break. I put mine there because I was tired of messing around with it when trying to get my hood open. Seems like the chain was always in the way when I was trying to latch the hood open. I...
I keep mine at 55 with the 14.00s. It seems to really like that speed. It cruises right along. When I first drove it I kept it around 40-45 until I got used to it. I like to build up some speed on a downhill to get up an uphill without losing a lot of speed. Be careful on downhills though. I get...
Looking good! I would put some safety wire on that chain if I were you. Not that I'm worried about mine coming unhooked. But if it ever did, the last thing I want to do is run over a part of the chain. It would not be a fun time that's for sure.
