Anyone used, newer, nicer gauges/switches in their trucks? An updated, more modern look would be nice, either analog or digital.

K+n makes a higher flow filter to fit the trucks to, it is washable and re-oilable.

Want the double cab, single rear axle on a supplied truck. Who would you guys suggest? Thanks.

Do the tracks stretch like a bike chain or wear out pins or can you just replace the rubber pads?

How much of a pain is it to put a track back on if you throw one? How resistant are they to doing so? I had always heard the M113 referred to as the sports car of IFV/APCs....

Wish I would have gotten a shot of the windshields on each to get the markings. There was absolutely nothing on the semis giving a clue to where they were heading and nothing noticable on the Hemetts. ??? Who knows. I figured there was some lucky SOB here that got some new toys....:beer:

Hey, small world! Could be I suppose. The one just looked a little rough I can't imagine them letting it get like that unless they knew they were getting rid of it. Would they even do such re-habbing on base or would it sub'ed out?

On Jan 19th I was coming down Rt 219 in Salamanca NY and saw 2 semis, each with a HEMETT on a flat bed sitting at a truckstop. I whipped my van into the lot and got a few picks as the trucks were warmignup to leave. The cargo model HEMETT was in ok shape, some surface rust, mismatched paint...

Truer words have seldom been spoken about these multis. Used as intended and they are reliable.

Remember though, that allison is likely meant to be put behind a stronger engine and big autos are power suckers. Putting an already low power engine behind it may result in less than stellar performance. Go late model NV5600 IMO.

How much more costly/complicated would it be to do the same to a 9 series 5 Ton?
