I guess I can see how a thermostat to safeguard some idiot doseing a hot engine with ether would be prudent given the possible attitude of some of the young troops that might drive these trucks but if it was giving me problems I'd bypass it.
I've got a generic ignition switch wired into my...
This is confusing. Are you saying that your ether system has a thermostat in it that won't allow the system to deliver ether to the engine above a certain temperature?
I'm not familiar with the military ether system. The civi ether shot system I added to my deuce doesn't have a thermostat or...

Me thinks the people that think they have unlimited policies @ $200 - 300 per year will be in for a rude awakening if they ever get into an accident. These rates sound like "Collector" policies and they are highly restrictive.
Here are some pics of my M37.
I installed a pully for a wide belt on the alternater.
I'm running an electric (12-volt) fan so I've got a lot of room under the hood.

I cringe when I occasionally read about people blocking off blown wheel cylinders, taking other risky shortcuts or even joking about how green always has the right of way and/or compact cars are speed bumps.
I personally feel that there...
From strickly a mileage standpoint I'm not sure how much going to 395 tires will help on a tendem (6X6) truck. I say this because of the unsprung weight factor. Yes the larger tires lower RPMs but they are also heavier and heavier tires are horsepower (fuel) thirsty.
Since I've only had...
I just hung up the phone from talking with Gulfway Insurers. My policy is coming up for renewal and I wanted to ask a few questions before sending a check.
With the renewal notice was a new policy. Not knowing if there had been changes since last year and not wanting to read and compare the...
I think it should be a capital crime to change the color of a deuce.

Sorry guys --- sometimes I just can't help myself.
On a serious note --- it's your truck, paint it what you like.
Just make sure it's YOUR truck. I doubt if your local national guard would appreciate someone...
Hey GR I think all these other conflicting posts smack of great right wing (or perhaps) "green-wing" conspiracy :-D.
To make you feel even worse, I was tempted to chime in and say that I changed one the other day while driving down the road but figured you were already forming enough of a...
I'm not sure if I'm going about this right --- perhaps I should have ran a "Parts Wanted" ad (if that's possible) in the classifieds.
Anyway, I'm looking for one M35 front bumper and four (2-sets) of the rear bumperettes.
The closer to Northern Minnesota the better.
Thanks
While I tend to agree with you I tend to crings when the word "hate" is so quickly and freely thrown around anymore. Perhaps it takes one to know one. Just something to think about.
If I read it properly someone suggested earlier to remove the starter and see if it spins.
I'd be careful doing that. I think the M35 starters will come appart from high RPM if spun without load.
I may be wrong about this. Perhaps someone can shed some light. Better safe than sorry.
Here you go.
The two fuel pressure gauges are to the left of the front axle connect/disconnect switch. These are mechanical gauges. One reads pressure between the in-tank pump and the primary filter and the other after the primary. I installed two so I could see if I was having an iceing...
