My compliments about your work are well deserved.
Yes ... I am moving toward selling Rosie but it's going to be a while. There are several things I want to do before listing her, one being a complete interior paint job and a white tuck and rolled naugahyde headliner. That isn't going to...
Clinton,
First of, I want to say your project is nothing short of world class. Take a well deserved bow!
Here is something you may find to be advantageous. Given the close distance between the rear tire and the fuel tank I elected to install additional steel mud flaps in front of the rear...
When you start adding refinements like spin out hubs and too many other things to mention is when it starts getting expensive. My opinion is that a truck that you are going to want to take several hundred miles from home is going to have to be in A-1 mechanical condition.
Unless you've...
My thermometer said 22 below this morning. After being plugged in all night I gave Rosie a shot of tequila sunrise (ether) and she woke like it was the 4th of July. No sooner than the EGT on pyro got up to 300 she said "Hey Ern --- let's go somewhere --- West Texas is nice this time of year ---...
As someone that has built three M37s I think you will be better off in the long run spending a little more on the front end and getting a good truck than buying a basket case. It's the old either get you now or get you later story.
It's quite a ways from you but I know of a good B1 M37 up...
Not that I have a vote because it isn't my site but I say leave it alone.
There is also the issue that it might not be a simple modification to the site.
From a tech standpoint it could be one of those projects like making babies --- "fun" to conceive and "****" to deliver.
Just my 2...
The code only addresses the flying of one flag and it does not prohibit multiples. You can't get more prominent than out front and high. Thank you for your opinion.
I don't know.
I also don't know if the article previously referenced from Supply Line was a military regulation to apply to military vehicles or whether it was for all situations.
The code says right front fender or chassis and that the flag is not to touch the vehicle. To my knowledge it diesn't address flying two flags, that you cannot do so, or when dong so that a the second flag cannot be placed on the opposite fender or chassis position.
I have 1" dia round steel...
IMHO CCKWs are right up there with the Willys Jeep in the "True Slice Of Americana" category.
After the war many CCKWs found their way up here into the North woods where they were used for logging. Over the years they were modified for logging and used extensively. They now set "spent" in the...
I like the front locker with spin-out hubs that someone posted about earlier. IMHO using a front locker with spin-outs AND the split, right & left, brake controls would be better than lockers all around.
I'm not heavily into off roading but what I've seen of lockers both on and off road I...
One of my friends has an M135 with a dump box on it that he uses to haul sand and gravel over the lakes (ice) in the window. Even with the weight of the heavy dump box and tandem axles the stock 305 6-culinder performes admirably. If the truck were bobbed and the heavy dump box was removed and...
I've got an M37 frame with the bumperettes, cross member, shackles, braces etc. if you come up short anything let me know. Do so fairly quick before there is three feet of snow up here because the stuf is out in the woods.
