It's for a 55-gallon drum.
That cap will fit the standard military fuel can (think 5 gallon jerry can), which should also be the same fitting size as a typical steel 55-gallon drum. The single tube will drop into the 5-gallon can, and then both tubes together will dip into the 55-gallon drum.
I have 4 gallons of used motor oil right now that I'd love to burn, but I'd read in several places that it needs to be run through a centrifuge to get the metal flakes out that can prematurely wear down an IP and injectors. I think running it through a coffee filter would be good, too, and since...
I know a few folks on here have been looking for fuel return hose and run into some difficulty.
Well after cutting all the return stubs and breaking one of the tee's, I was also in the market for some hose, but I also noted how crappy it is to have a slip-on rubber hose as a critical component...
2-5/16" will work fine, I've been towing M116's for a few years with a 2-5/16" ball.
If your height is not correct for the trip home, it wont be a difficult tow, just look goofy and be a little underbalanced. I wouldn't expect it to oscillate, somehow these trailers are ultra stable in all...
If you were going to split your 200 amp utility feed to two panels, one normal and one emergency, you could then use a switch rated for whatever the split was. So if you made your normal panel 150 amp, you'd make the emergency panel 50 amp, and you could use a 50 amp transfer switch to supply...
I would not use that switch, the 50amp, with a 10kw genset for my house. It is a good way to control load, but with a 10kw generator that can overload to 13 or so, I'd use a 100amp switch minimum and maximize what you can get from it without tripping a breaker or potentially overheating the...
I previewed those ft. Meade units. None were in good shape, every fuel tank was significantly rusty but one. I think all had various rust issues all over. Still good prices, but I didn't even go back to look again when I was outbid.
The difference was intended to restrict load capacity by tow vehicle. Both can handle the same load, but hitched to a hmmwv with a certain pintle, it should not be loaded over a certain weight. So instead of a plate that says "with this pintle, load up to 2000lbs; with this pintle, load up to...

Measure your fittings before ordering, though. There are two different sizes, and I can't remember which one's I bought. I have two...
First, congrats Forestor! Loud, but cool machines the 002's are.
Second, reset2:
I've had limited success using fuel tank specific epoxy, but not much.
About 6 months or so ago, I coated the interior of the tank with a product called "RedKote", and the pinholes were all sealed perfectly.
With...
I don't think backpressure would be much of an issue. The 4-cyl engines use the same 1.25" pipe.
Someone already said the simple solution; get a 1-1/4 joint and 6" pipe, and a $10 flapper from tractor supply, and forget about it.
I have a Letterkenny reset 803 in my garage in pieces right now. I like the brand new blue hoses, but otherwise it's no different to me. I haven't attempted to start it yet, I just have it apart to make sure it's ok to start and nothing is seized or rusty from storage. As I was removing...
I agree with this. If the cylinders are fogged and everything still in assembly lube, it can last forever in storage, especially if the valves are closed and ports plugged. That's what I would expect from the factory, and the mil is not naive about the probability of much of this stuff sitting...
Did you get them at auction? I didn't know gov planet was auctioning gensets.
I'd suggest that if you're committed to a $13,000 value, you market and sell them that way. With your experience and background, you should have some idea of how to sell them for that.
Even though the housing is aluminum, it's not better than an industrial outdoor housing. It bends like tin foil and the exhaust flappers stick.
The crack and leak prone return hose would also be steel if it were money-no-object quality. The battery jumper would not rub through, the Gen head...
It makes sense, being that contracts are bid on, and I have no experience like that to form an opinion on. But a government contract is bid to make money, too, and the government blows money like it grows on trees. Military gear has a long history of being overpaid-for and not real well...
I'd suggest asking $4000.
Low hours are nice to look at, but there are several reasons I more or less ignore them under 5000.
- meters are ridiculously easy to change or disable. You can put 1000 hours on it while keeping it still looking like new.
- meters stop working and don't always get...
