    A quiet deuce?

Once I run the rest of my pipe all the way to the rear I will try and put up a video.

    deuce a/c project

Tom - i saw the condenser an the size you used (sweet install) but can you tell why you chose that size? I just need a little help on the theory for a/c system compatibility. Does the bigger the better apply to this? Has anybody used this as an alternative to the 134...

    deuce a/c project

M-35tom, can't thank you enough for posting up a thread about this. I am ordering my 508 compressor now. I was originally going with a "nostalgic air" kit but looks like this will be a better route. Has anyone mounted the compressor above oron the other side of the engine? I was trying to go...

Newbie checking out a deuce today??

Here are some more includig the painted diverter. Found my heater vent plate for the pull lever under the workbench. Still need a heater fan hi/low plate. Think I found one though. Also changed the air tank valves with the pull wires to purge air. Added the fat window seals around the...

Newbie checking out a deuce today??

Here are some pics of where I am now. Get the exhaust welded up and plumbed to the rear axle, next part will go up over the rears, possiblt the crossmembers andmay move the muffler back as well for more ground clearance. Also aired the tires up to 105psi while I was doing the inside in the...

    A quiet deuce?

Went on a drive across town to the WM store to pick up soem things and wow:driver:. I switched between the stack and the muffler half way there and it was a huge difference. The stack just has so much bark as well as turbo scream, very cool! With it switched to the muffler the intensity is...

    A quiet deuce?

No doubt! Looking back I should have done that too but honestly I never even thought about it. I have a chop saw that would have done it, though a band saw would be nice. THis was my first real pipe bending/welding experience and alot was learned. Like leaving wire in your mig for a long time...

    Adding Detroit Lockers???

I know this thread is a bit old but I am looking to do this. I think like Dan and tmamerica were saying the ARBs would be the top bill. Yes price alone makes them nearly double, but think how $100 here or there flies out of your wallet for silly (drinking) crap, hehe. Anyhow I will be taking...

    Exhaust selector/Diverter???

I see your point and while I think there is a law in florida about an exhaust bypass or cutout not being allowed it pertains to using one to bypass your emissions or other factory exhaust components, none of which I think apply here since the exhaust was straight out before and I am actually...

    Exhaust selector/Diverter???

It does hang a few inches lower than the gas tank and battery box on that side. If I was better when I laid it out I could have had it uphigher but that bend was tough as well as the E-Brake housing sticking out into the area I was trying to work in, and still leave room arond the fittings and...

    Exhaust selector/Diverter???

I will have a cable up to the cab somewhere around the vent controls, try to find a similar setup to make it look exactly the same.

    Exhaust selector/Diverter???

Alright guys I found some pics from the other day. I haven't connected the stack yet in these pics( I'll get some of those tomm). You can at least see where my overall project is headed. You can see the diverter tied into the downpipe/j-pipe as well as the pipe that runs to the back. Then the...

    Exhaust selector/Diverter???

Don't think they make one. I used the 4" diverter and some reducers that I cut short to match up to the J-pipe. Then did a gnarly job making a complex bend to go around the battery box and then straight to the back/muffler etc.. lol, man I know I know, I'll have some up tommorow after I get...

    Exhaust selector/Diverter???

Alright, got the system done all the way up to the muffler that sits on the passenger side in front of the 1st rear axle. The diverter works well, swaps between the stack and rear exit muffler so the truck still looks original. Makes a big difference with a "whislter" is all I can say. Not sure...

    A quiet deuce?

Cool pics, I'm working on an out the back with muffler and a diverter valve to retain the stack for fun. Should be cool. It's all done up to the muffler, just have to run the pipe up and over the rear axles then out under the rear with a turndown.

    MEP-003A at JAX DRMO

Thanks for all the great responses about the Gensets. For 10kw it would be a perfect back up set. I am lucky enough that previewing is just a matter of running across town. They had a ton of them run through a while back and as of now only one with much higher hours and looks rough. Hopefully...

    MEP-003A at JAX DRMO

Looking to pickup one of these or two if the prices are right. I was watching a group of them last auction but had to leave an missed the ending prices. Anybody know what these guys usually go for? Most of the ones that went that round were low hours from 4hrs-50hrs and looked really nice...
