Algae oil grown in continous photobioreactor.

That could be true for the multi. I hadn't come across it not being stable. Do you mean unstable like ethanol-laced gasoline phase seperating and absorbing water when stored for long periods. I'm really interested to know what strain of algae to use (cynobacteria?), where to get it, how to...

    body armor/run-flat tires?

I am thinking 30-06 non-AP and below would be possible using poly carb windows and AR500 steel over or behind the sheetmetal. Like some have said a heavier truck platform would be easier to start with. You could probably get IIIA protection by using lighter steel and lighter polywindows. Not...

    body armor/run-flat tires?

Seems like a deuce or 5 ton would be a great platform, all the flat panels can be cut and replaced with the AR500, if you figured out the door mount/hinge you could just replace the doors with your own fabbed up set, with fixed poly carb windows. Add A/C.... Front windows would be doable as...

Algae oil grown in continous photobioreactor.

Is anyone growing there own biodiesel in a PBR system? I searched and I couldn't find a thread about it. I have looked into this alot and there are flexible PBR systems that look like clear pool rafts $600 and up), or some rigid tube strutures that the algae/water travel through using pumps...

Newbie checking out a deuce today??

Finishing up the small paint parts, you can see in some of the pics of the windshield frames there is some rust. The bad spots I'll grind and paint. The tab at the top of one window that slides into the track mount that bolts to the truck is pitted with rust spots. I think as long as its...

Man sorry to hear that. Seems like there are alot coming out in decent shape. Not sure what they look like up by you by mine and a bunch of others here were "fully loaded" so to speak. Had the heaters, singles, wiper/washer, hardtops, some with winches, tent bows and pretty new cargo covers...

Newbie checking out a deuce today??

Where I'm at now. Most of the interior painting is finished. Not professional by any means but all rust taken care of primed and fresh paint. Cleaning up the individual windshield frames and the windshield frame on the truck, some surface rust but will sand, prime and paint it. Used ospho before...

    Deuce power steering conversion

I was wondering if anybody has just used a ram to assist at a standstill since rolling steering isnt as difficult. Notsure how that works if you have different turns lock to lock between ram and steering box? Then again here is something like you were talking about. I think he is using an...

    Adding A/C and powersteering

I have the HF542996 steering box, just tracking down a hydro pump. You guys that have it done with these parts are able to turn the wheels while stopped correct? i know there was a thread that mentioned this but seemed to be a full air bleed issue, once bled all was good.

    Adding A/C and powersteering

$3200!! Yeah that's another truck. You said it runs using a chevy PS pump? I don't remember the specs on those bit seems like they wouldn't have enough pressure?

    Adding A/C and powersteering

Did you guys ever do your a/c setups? I'm looking into the nostalgic a/c systems. I'm adding a seperate 12v alt/batt setup to run the a/c and other stuff. Seems like the universal NAP setup would work with an under dash mount evap, somewhere around $6-700. Tint and sealing up the truck and...

5 ton mf power steering pump on m35a2

Has anybody used a belt driven pump that meets the same specs but isn't $400+ dollars? Surely there has to be something, how is the pump setup on those medium duty ford LN trucks that we get the steering gears out of?

5 ton mf power steering pump on m35a2

Did we ever find a supplier for these pumps? I have been looking at Vander Haags but they don't have it listed. Some on Ebay but missing the gear/plate like mentioned earlier. Seems they are near $500 from Mil. equip guys and others. Any cheaper places?
