I got the boots and they looked like new a few months ago and installed them. I happened to look under the deuce for other reasons and saw both are dry rotted and split! Did I do anything wrong? I would think the boots would last alot longer then that. What do you guys think?
Albion, just remember a 12k Electric Winch and a 10k PTO winch are very different. I would take the 10K PTO over a 12K Electric any day. Pto winches pull their load all day long without any problems. Electric winches tend to get hot while pulling at full load.
Man, sorry to hear about the 220 miles ver, 60 miles. Maybe when you get there you will find its ok. The worst things I would worry about are tires and bearings.
When I first got into MVs I looked long and hard at the trucks in HI. I to came up with a $4,000 figure to get it shipped to my doorstep. Those $60 and $70 trucks make me sad...

The first thing I looked at was the data plate. The plate says M35A2C DROPSIDE W/W. We think the frame is bent but we will have to look closer when we get it home, meausure it etc. The truck is about 2 feet longer then our exsisting truck. I will post more...
Dad found a m35a2c with the drop side removed, dump bed added and frame doubled. It have 9600 miles and has 452 hours on motor, 1973 model. C turbo and the motor is very clean. Here are the pics, we may pic it up this weekend, needs a driveshaft between the tcase and front tandem through...
