That's exactly what I did. Seems like it's working now so I fueled it up and buttoned it up as we have some weather coming in this weekend. I still need to do the two well nuts. But I goofed and only ordered one as I didn't realize there were two. So as soon as I get the second one, I'll drain...
Ok, so I found something a little bit interesting. I noticed earlier that there is a bolt with a foot or something at the bottom of it that sits on top of the fuel tank. That seems to have been adjusted too far down and the top of the tank is bowed in. Why does that matter? I stuck my arm in the...
I had not. I did come up with an interesting development though. And some additional notes. So when the fault occurred this time, I was not able to reset the fault. It would just stay lit. So I unplugged the float switch, and was able to reset the fault light. While the unit was still running, I...
So my 802a has always shut down with a "no fuel" fault. I always keep it full, and I always verify plenty of fuel when it does this. After reading a bunch of threads, I ordered a fuel switch. Sometimes the unit would run hours without tripping, other times it would do it almost right away. The...
CallMeColt has a great solution to the 802 fuel level sender. KUS makes senders for marine applications. Measure the depth of your tank and consider one of these. I plan to do this with my 805B as it never drops below 87%.

So the alternator and the starter are in two different places. Any way to narrow down which one it was that arced out? Either way it sounds like the alternator (maybe the regulator in it) got fried. But before assuming that, check all of the battery and alternator connections. Sometimes when...
Just pull that outlet and replace it with a boot. They just come with a boot made of some sort of tarp like material with a drawstring. I'll get a pic of my 805B in the morning so you can see if you like.
I can see that if you have a decent fuel/water separator and go through alot of fuel. I guess that's one of the things that requires a "YMMV" disclaimer.
You don't have the standard lugs behind the door? L0, L1, L2, L3? Just use those. You can use much larger cable for better connections and it's designed for more long term use. You're not using your gen as a mobile unit, so just hook it up on the lugs and call it a day.
So the 802/803 have two different units. One is just for the fuel gauge, the other has two functions. The upper float is on/off for the aux fuel pump to suck from external tank, and the lower float is on/off for the "low fuel" light and shudown function. From what I'm tracking from Guyfang's...
Finished up the fuel filter on the aux tank today. All self contained, just roll it up next to any MEP and connect with the factory aux fuel hose. Complete with 2 micron filtration.
That will do the trick too!! Looks good! I used a hi lift jack on mine to pick one end up at a time to slide my RR ties under it. Try to level it out best you can too if possible.
That's cool, I'm curious to see the control panel with the treater running. I wanna see how much it loads it down and how it likes it. Some really good advice in this thread, I'm learning alot that I'll use with my 805B if I ever get it running right.
