I purchased OD Irons fuel pump, and plan to install it using a 3/8" ID copper line the same depth as the intank pump assembly for my pick-up tube and install a Mr. Gasket Clear fuel filter pre-pump to catch rust. Will this little inline filter hold up to diesel and "permissible fuels"
I need one (1) maybe two (2) 8.75X16.5 tires so that I can move my tug around the yard. If anybody has some that are not dry rotted and hold air I'd be interested.
Got a paid invoice today and noticed that GL is no longer Government Liquidation but its name has now changed to "DOD Surplus, LLC" same address and all but name changed.
I bought a set of four (4) HMMVV tires with rims yesterday (12/2), I got my "paid" invoice today, and I want to know if there is anyone going there or that lives close enough to get them off base for me and then I can come get them on a weekend. Thanks.
Timothy
Here are some pics of my 1985 Jeep CJ10a Tug that I won a few months ago. When I got it it was missing the GP's, oil dipstick, and alt./vacuum pump. I found some glow plugs for it and installed them. And managed to get it to run on either. Then Sat. I tested the Gp's to make sure they were good...
I was informed this week that there was a Willys Jeep for sale near my house. Went and looked at it and needs some resto work. Called the guy and asked him about it, he said the one I looked at runs and he has a second to sell with a good body. Asking $1900. Good deal?
I also need a good condition exhaust elbow that comes from the turbo to the flex pipe.
Does anyone need some M1008 parts(troop seats, canvas and supports, radio rack) I need to sell them.
My 2cents, you have to register an account with a credit card with GL, then you bid like ebay but theres a 15 min. dead time after a bid during closing. Like others have said and what I do is find trucks that are located within resonable distance from your location, study the pics intently then...
Somebody needs to go back to mechanic school. Last time I looked there was all kinds of room under the hood. Plus the mess in the cab when theres a filter change. I'd be seriously pissed if I bought a truck and that was the way my prelube pump was installed.
Ol' Carnac, I have once again been bitten by OD fever, here is the info I have.
