RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Fuel Economy of Alte
I've ran my deuce on straight diesel and it did fine on flat road, but slowed down some as I went up inclines. Then I filled it up with kerosine and 1gal. of 30wt oil, and it ran like a scalded dog. There seemed to be more power and...
Was sitting on the porcelain thinking chair today and wondered if you could take the deuce brake system and make it all hydraulic, that way there would be no brake failure from lack of air. What purpose does the air serve?
Ya need to go to a hydraulic supply house and request a 'T' fitting that is 1/4" male pipe on one end
and 1/4" female pipe on the middle and other end. Then you remove the air cleaner(and I then covered the intake hole with a piece of cardboard, about a 6x6 square poke hole with the studs and...
Had a guy call me yesterday who has an interest in obtaining a M1009 and putting deuce axles under it. I searched and didnt see a prior post, so my question is: how much trouble is it?
RE: Re: RE: MAYDAY Truck Down
Recovery-that thought occurred to me last night. Without pulling the throttle cable out it will idle around 600. And I cant start off in 2nd.
Bjorn-changed the fuel filters last night. And when I opened the bleeder valves it pee'd a stream. Also when I changed the...
RE: Re: RE: MAYDAY Truck Down
Got the truck home, started it on either and got it running on fuel. Will not restart after you shut it off. So I do need the in tank fuel pump.
Alrighty gents, got the truck started and home. All it needed was a little either, will not restart after shut off, so I will be needing the in tank fuel pump. Also changed the fuel filters and they had fine rust particles in them.
My deuce is down and sitting in a gas station parking lot, I have a 2nd deuce that I could pull it with, but no towbar. Does anyone have one that I could borrow OR maybe a drawing to show how to make my own?
RE: Re: RE: MAYDAY Truck Down
Another thought that hit me this morning is when I was sucking diesel out a month ago I got alot of rust chunks, could one have gotten sucked into the pump and bound it up. I was close to "E" when I refueled.
Cranetruck- will check for spoogage in the primary this...
RE: MAYDAY Truck Down
I did not check to see if power was flowing thru the fuse I will check that today when I go back, and check the grounds. LOL I do happen to have a leaf blower handy.
RE: MAYDAY Truck Down
Alright, checked the fuse under the cover on the tank and it is good, checked the voltage going to the tank and it reads 25V, checked under the stop cable cover and it moves free. Checked the primary fuel filter and its dry, secondary and final filter contain fuel. Batts...
Got in the deuce this evening, it cranked right up, warmed it up and drove it 10 miles or so to put some fuel in it, E-Brake doesnt work so I shut it down w/o running it for 5 min. and put it in gear to hold it. Put fuel in it, paid, got back in and nothing. Did find that fuel pump is not...
