I do have a business account with Sherwin Williams and do use products from their industrial line, but I'm also liking the benefits the acrylic paint crowd is talking about. I much prefer SW over Behr and since the color formulas on this thread won't work evidently at my Home Depot, I'm gonna...
Just got back from Home Depot where I was gonna get samples of Carc made up. I don't know if the girl who helped me knows what she is talking about, but she said the formulas that I brought in from the paint can pics earlier in this thread couldn't be matched because they had changed their...
Hi Heath, I am the recent purchaser from GL of a 109 that I hope in time will help pay it's own way. I also have spent a lot if time around logging crews and know that even with the best modern equipment, repairs are frequent because it is such a harsh work environment. I would recommend...
I changed out a bad wheel cylinder on my 109 before I could bring it home from SETOYOTA's place. I had the TM's with me, but if you've ever changed out a wheel cylinder before, it is pretty straightforward. Except with much bigger parts. I was able to replace the cylinder by taking out the...
Trying to locate an aluminum boarding ladder for my M109A3. Anybody in the area got an extra and how much? I'm in St. Augustine. Not sure if I'm coming to the rally, but maybe I could get a handoff to someone coming back in my direction....
Thanks Wsucougarx, that looks really nice. Have you driven it much since the paint. It looks like the finish on your exhaust is holding up well. Also, are you using an antennae for a flagpole? I thought about doing that too.
Wsucougarx, If you don't mind my asking, how old is your oldest paint job? I'm assuming since you are in Wash. St. that you get a lot of rain, is that true? Thanks for all the info on your thread. Randy.
I'd like to start this thread as a kind of parallel to the Latex/Acrylic paint thread. I understand if the Admins think of it as unnecessary/duplicate and feel free to delete, but to me it stands on its own. What I'd like to know is how many SS members wish they hadn't done the house paint on...
Hi from St. Augustine. I've got a '92 Range Rover which I've enjoyed, but it looks like it may have to go. Doesn't have the cool factor of a Series, and I'm picking up my deuce on Saturday and need the room. This is a really great site.
I didn't spend a lot of time looking at the reviews for that unit, but in general they (the reviews) seem to be pretty good and that is not a lot of money to spend. Before committing to the sprayer you might try rolling one panel or fender and see if that meets your expectations. Recognize...
The 60 gallon would work much better with the gun you have. The pancake compressor will have a hard time keeping up and will vary your spray fan, probably giving you an uneven finish. If you are shooting an alkyd finish you would benefit from a dryer/water separator inline with your gun. I...
