Well I pressurized the cooling system and I didn't see any leaks in the cylinders.
One of my injectors had the tip on the nozzle worn off when I pulled them last time. I'm going to have them tested/rebuilt.
When I was taking everything apart this time the bolts holding the plates that hold...
Ok, so apparently it's the injector sleeve which should be repair according to TM 9-2320-260-34-1 Section 3-79. INJECTOR SLEEVE MAINTENANCE (PG 276).
What causes this issue?
Hmm, that's weird. I don't remember what I put for GVW on my M818 but it was at least as much as a deuce.
As for weight stations, you shouldn't need to stop since you arent actually using the truck in commerce. But you know how that goes, every one is different.
There is a guy in Milford, MA...
Commercial insurance is VERY expensive compared to antique. My ins. agent specifically said this which is why I went antique.
You can also drive it for preparations for events, to and from repair shops as well. This would include driving it to your work or a buddy's to do maintenance.
He...
When I registered my deuce, I got regular vehicle insurance from Commerce and regular passenger plates from the registry.
When I went to register my XM818 my agent couldn't find any "codes" or way around getting commercial insurance so I went with antique insurance and antique plates through...
Anything is possible.
I would do it as long as it is filtered correctly. I don't see what harm it could do if all the small particles acting like abrasives are filtered out. The worst I see it doing is killing and IP or injectors so even if you go 2k miles before something takes a dump, that's...
I'm working on making my 10ton have better drive ability right now IE: do at least 50mph cruise. I'm thinking if I can just put an OD gear box in front of the rear axles I'd be all set. Obviously I couldn't use OD with the front axle or when towing max load (which I don't have anything that big...
I'm getting lots of fuel in my coolant. which of these is the culprit- the injector nozzle, packing or cup? Would that be #11,12, or 17 in Fig30? Or is it just the orings? What's the best way to find the faulty injector(s) besides finding a cold/cooler cylinder? Should I just rebuild the whole...
Not sure if I'm gonna make it. Work has been rediculous this week, going from New Canaan, CT for a couple days now up to NH tomorrow. My818 needs injectors and so does my M123. :-( Send me a text or a call when you're going and we can meet up there possibly. (five)08 439 272(four). I went...
After having a 5 ton and a deuce, I'd have the 5 ton if I could only have one. It's got decent power vs the deuce's uber slowness and you can fit the 16-20s stock. Expect to become uber slow again though from what I'm hearing witht eh 16s. Plus the 5 ton has power steering.
WMO runs great in...
Craigslist is an excellent place to get WMO. I have continuous supplies rolling in, I now have too much built up and am switching over to a diesel daily driver to use it up. And I'm still finding other people that want to give me theirs. I haven't paid a cent...
Are those NDTs on it? It's hard to tell. What size are they?
That's not an M123 if it's got a 903. The M123s had V8-300s. Any interior pics? How much would he want without the bed and water pump?
Found some TMs. In the -10 it says the truck has a 45,000lb winch? :cookoo:

Usually there is a reason the fluids are drained. Call them up and ask for Mike. He usually does the booking and can tell you some good info on the trucks. He ansered some of my questions when they had wreckers a couple months ago.
