Hey guys, I'm looking for a couple dimensions on an M1008 in order to be sure it fits between the fenders on a trailer. The manual says the front axle track is 67.8 inches, and the rear axle track is 65.8 inches. I need the outside of tire to outside of tire on the front and rear axles. Stock...
I have a load (heavy) that someone is interested in from Wisconsin. (see picture) Just trying to help him find a way to get it there. Maybe even from the mid Michigan area to the west side of the state at Ludington. Could probably put it on the ferry over to Wisconsin. Let me know if this is...
It's been raining for 3 days straight here in Michigan. Can't do much work outside so I've been spending my time in the garage rebuilding a winch and putting heater parts together for the M818. My last request for parts resulted in the brackets I needed for supporting the heater plate over the...
Thought I'd post a few before and after pics of the M146 refurb. Was hoping to have it ready for the Clare Michigan show a couple weeks ago but didn't make it. This is going to be our new deer camp trailer. The deuce just didn't quite have enough room. We will be able to get EVERYTHING in this...
On the side door of my shop trailer the outside handle has the tab for the lock broken off. This is a long shot, but I wanted to see if anyone had a trailer they were parting out and didn't need this part. Worst case, I'll have to fab up the tab and reweld it to the handle. Let me know... Thanks.
Anyone know where I might find one of these breakers? I have one missing (center panel in picture). This is in the back of an M146 shop van trailer but should be the same as whats in an M109 deuce, etc. They are both 110v systems. So if anyone is parting out a deuce box or shop van let me know...
Hey guys. I am looking for an electrical plug that goes to the 110v connection on an M146 trailer, M109 deuce, etc. The cable and plug delivers the power from a genset to the electrical box inside the trailer, truck. Here are some pictures of what I need. Any leads would be appreciated! I don't...
Hey guys, I'm hoping someone out there has what I need for mounting my coolant heater in a cummins powered 5T. My M818 came sans heater, and that is not something you want to be without in these northern regions come winter. I have a complete heater kit for it, except for the mounting...
Anyone have a spare hourmeter they can part with? Maybe from an old parts genset or something? 2 5/16" overall face dia. Hobbs or Datcom or ??. Blade type leads but I can make the scew in terminals work too. I believe they will typically read voltages from 10-40 vdc. Thanks.
Where do you guys with M818's mount your license plate at? I've got no mudflaps so that option is out. I'm thinking on the back of the tool box maybe. Any pictures would be great. Thanks.
The battery is 24v, from my genset.
Is there a way to charge a 24v battery other than using a battery charger? (I don't have a 24V charger). The battery is not totally dead, just not enough juice left to turn the motor over.
Maybe by running a vehicle with a 24v charging system and running...
Thought I'd post some pics of the trailers that we picked up from GL in Lansing.
I purchased one, citizensoldier got a couple and DaveP got a couple. Dave's M119 was hauled out before I had a chance to get a picture of it, Clint hauled it for him on the back of his deuce tractor. TedG came to...
I unsealed the tool box on my M818 today and inventoried the contents. For anyone that's looking to complete their tractors accesories, here is what you need......
OK, here are some pics of my M818 recovery from Stout Field in Indiana a couple weeks ago. Not many from the actual road trip just a couple getting the jeep hooked up to the tow bar for the return trip, a few pics once it was home and a couple of the auction pics. It was one of the depot rebuilt...
I want to add a couple things to my M818 so I'm looking for the correct desert tan color to match what is currently on the truck. The truck was depot rebuilt in '06 with a fresh coat of tan carc applied. All of the paint I have used in the past has been Gillespie so I'd like to stick with them...
Keep your eyes out for these vehicles going west on 70. I sold them to a gentleman in WA and they were picked up yesterday. They are currently on a flatbed heading west from Michigan. I will post pics of the trucks loaded on the trailer.
Mr Doyle, you may know the answer to this. I've noticed on 800 series trucks that there are 2 styles of grills/brush guards that are used. However, there doesn't appear to be a correlation with the year of manufacture. Can you shed some light? Is there any rhyme or reason for 2 styles? Seems as...
