    Deuce tire question

Great question, I was wondering the same thing. It seems practical, but the big knoby tires sure look cool.:-D

    Need a pick-up at Ft McCoy Wisconsin...Please

There was a post of a guy going up there on the 12-21, I think. Someone else had requested a pickup from McCoy also. I think he was from SW MI. If you can get it somewhat close to me I don't mind picking it up and tossing it to the next guy going your direction. Good luck.

    I want a deuce

I like my soft top a lot more than I thought I would. You can buy a heater for it also.

    I want a deuce

I told my wife I needed it for work. The next two she wasn't to pleased about. I told her I needed those for parts for the first one.:-D

Goodyear radials SUCK in the snow!!!

Dito on the gravel. In the past I put gravel in 20 gallon nursery containers (limitless supply). This makes it easier to adjust the wieght and also keeps from having a frozen pile of gravel in the bed when you need it for something else.

Goodyear radials SUCK in the snow!!!

I'm still waiting for snow to test the NDTs on mine. So far I haven't been able to get stuck in the mud with 50 psi. It will go through a muddy field with the front axle disengaged and will easily navigate a drainage ditch and muddy hills in 6x6 mode.

Charlie's Truck and The Camper Apocalyptic

I like the slant on the back. Kinda like the Russian truck that was on here a while ago.

    Anyone have pictures of...

Just my opinion. I think the whole truck in flat black dosen't look that good. I think its because it is such a large area. I would go with a two tone color scheme using flat black as the primary. It could be a pretty suttle difference. Flat black looks good on motorcycles but its a small area...

and you thought a GL recovery was hard

Wow, sitting for 20 years. I actually thought it was going to be alot longer but to get it up and running after all that time is pretty cool. I like the beat up worn look of it. I wonder if they plan to do any restoration.

Can a Deuce to tow a Deuce on a trailer without a CDL ? Yes.

The CGVWR can not exceed 26K. Thats total combined truck and trailer.

and you thought a GL recovery was hard

Dito on that. Like to have some background on the recovery. Wonder how long had it been there? Are those tires off a plane or what?

    Pull Starting The Deuce

Cold batteries don't have as much kick either. While I'm waiting on Wesfolks block heater to arrive, I used a salamander to heat up the engine area for about 5 minutes. It worked well -- the truck fired up instantly.

    Thinking about getting an M-35A2

I say go for it. It would be an adventure for sure. Nothing is ever 100 percent perfect.:-D

    M151's still out there? Look

Couldn't they just require a roll bar? Maybee we should start crushing some modern SUVs that tend to roll.

    operating the heater

It could be the fan. Two of mine have fans that don't operate. You should here the fan come on when you hit the toggle -- with the engine off.

    Cold weather starting

I know you got one Westfolk and I've been considering it. I am trying to conserve funds and wanted something for all 3 trucks. You will probably be getting an order from me if it stays this cold though.:-D

    Cold weather starting

I got 1 out of 3 to start today with the flame heater. I think I'm going to get a manifold heater. Anyone have experience with the magnetic heater? For cheapness sake, I want one I can move to the truck I plan to use that day.

I didnt know where else to put this, military pickup question

Dobber, 7405 Lima Rd. Drulley Investments (I think). Its a relatively new lot. I was surprised to see those trucks. One was a pickup. I can stop and take a look at them later this week if ya want -- and give give you some specs on them. I was going to stop and look at them out of curiosity...
