There was a post of a guy going up there on the 12-21, I think. Someone else had requested a pickup from McCoy also. I think he was from SW MI. If you can get it somewhat close to me I don't mind picking it up and tossing it to the next guy going your direction. Good luck.
Dito on the gravel.
In the past I put gravel in 20 gallon nursery containers (limitless supply). This makes it easier to adjust the wieght and also keeps from having a frozen pile of gravel in the bed when you need it for something else.
I'm still waiting for snow to test the NDTs on mine. So far I haven't been able to get stuck in the mud with 50 psi. It will go through a muddy field with the front axle disengaged and will easily navigate a drainage ditch and muddy hills in 6x6 mode.
Just my opinion. I think the whole truck in flat black dosen't look that good. I think its because it is such a large area. I would go with a two tone color scheme using flat black as the primary. It could be a pretty suttle difference. Flat black looks good on motorcycles but its a small area...
Wow, sitting for 20 years. I actually thought it was going to be alot longer but to get it up and running after all that time is pretty cool. I like the beat up worn look of it. I wonder if they plan to do any restoration.
Cold batteries don't have as much kick either. While I'm waiting on Wesfolks block heater to arrive, I used a salamander to heat up the engine area for about 5 minutes. It worked well -- the truck fired up instantly.
I know you got one Westfolk and I've been considering it. I am trying to conserve funds and wanted something for all 3 trucks. You will probably be getting an order from me if it stays this cold though.:-D
I got 1 out of 3 to start today with the flame heater. I think I'm going to get a manifold heater. Anyone have experience with the magnetic heater? For cheapness sake, I want one I can move to the truck I plan to use that day.
Dobber, 7405 Lima Rd. Drulley Investments (I think). Its a relatively new lot. I was surprised to see those trucks. One was a pickup. I can stop and take a look at them later this week if ya want -- and give give you some specs on them. I was going to stop and look at them out of curiosity...
