The engine runs great, climbs well, etc. I do have an overheating issue. Changed out the thermostat and now have the rad in a shop to clean it out and do some repairs. I do have some oil in water(but it's not bubbling like before the HG's) which I think is from having shaped my own gaskets for...

I actually get better results w/ a hand held can. The kit in my truck hits the engine hard, much harder than if I'm using a can. Maybe I'm just good w/ a can ;) But I have heard that my engine might not be turning over fast enough to use the kit. Have also thought of moving the either injector...

Thanks Gimpy, knowing that I could twist them helped loads. I didn't want to risk that having never looked at one out of the truck. Went to Waterloo but didn't find anything on Head Gaskets, am I missing something?

Now that I have the engine stripped down to take the heads off, a couple questions. When you pull the pushrod out "incorrectly", how do you set the lifter back where it belongs? :) And, Do you need to take the injectors out? If so, how do you make them come loose? Thanks all

Hey sorry this got left hanging. It was sucking air right before the booster pump, bad hose. She was also hard to start a lot. That's been replaced and loads of other little stuff, she even has new shocks. :) Haven't been thinking much about her, w/ my trailer build.

I have one w/ that issue. I just want to lock it out untill I get a chance to redo the whole brack system. The MC was empty when we got it, and right now it only gets used to do dump runs.

What he said. Have 4 on site and they all have had leaking roofs. Used that same coating and sealed. As far as temp drop, when I had the ceiling out of the one I've been redoing, you could put your hand on the underside of the roof . . . not hot at all. Sam Franks was shocked when he was here...
