Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

Of all the various different styles and types I like the single axled duel stock tire the best, followed by the Suicide door Deuce, but the Low-Rider is yuck......

    10 bolt hubs for Deuce

JesusGatos, a member of he SS forum, Was toying with the idea of CNC'ing some adapter plates for the deuce specifically. It would cancel out the hubs. I'm wholey for your hubs, don't get me wrong, but Aliminum ??? for a material is indeed suspect from a integrity standpoint. I suspect that the...

    Where to buy parts?

look to the top and right, besides there gobs of places on the net. Just see for yourself by typing in Military Vehicle parts. There will be a dozen or more places pop up. Parts are easy to come by and relativly cheap.

    shopping for a snatch block

I have found that products on the most part from China are rated at a specific PSI or burst strength, and that what we are used to in the US is things that have a weight rating for as an example: say rated for 1,000lbs. which can be stressed mabe a third to double of the rating beyond listed...

making small batches of custom parts

Absolutly the best bang for the buck here. Simply a six to typical ten bolt patern, like used on eighteen wheelers.

    NC Registration

See now PITDOG, slid right through, it's all about how clever they are at DMV. the guy I got was an instructor at a new DMV here in town, so I'm sure I got THE right info, as he was THOROUGH. A thought comes to mind though: if you do get a misguided incorrect liscense at DMV and go along useing...

Dont think it works that way.....since the GVW on the dash + 5,000lbs is less than 20,000lbs. Dont think you can pick a higher weight limit to haul other than the specs on the vehicle. in otherwords your not going to liscence a Dodge dually one ton for a five ton load, number one its goina break...

I see your aggrivation and sympathise about all the 'seemingly' hassel. but I think your going to have to pay around 300 when its all said and done. Neil hendrix just did his, I'm about to do mine next month as funds are available, but I am going 'weighted' and as I said in the first couple...

    paint won't dry??

You may infact be right about the CARC 'shedding', however I'v went to 'Wallys' anf gotten the camo spray cans and had zero problem with anything, other than wishing I had a case or two of the stuff. Possably the cans were mixed wrong at the factory with the hardening agent not added in the...

Don't loose heart just yet, I'v talked to others that said it was a breeze. Now the Antique is for 1943 and below, the historical is for 35 and older, and farm, of course you gota have a farm. Farm limits to 150 miles from domicile. Historic is for parades and events and can only be used...

Just went down to Rockingham to see about the tags, it'll cost $311.00 for 20,000 lbs, you will have to call the NC.DMV inspector @ 704-547-5777 and an inspector will come to your residence and inspect the VIN # on the dash and on the frame then your ready to get a title and plate/tags. State...

Call me crazy, I want it louder

Something else to remember.... The Turbo, as my thinking goes, (from reading) was primarily used to reduce exhaust noise, not so much for power, but to calm down the exhaust note. So... theory would have it that the whole idea is an oxymoron.......not you, the idea..... of louder exhaust. Seems...

Call me crazy, I want it louder

CRAZY... Yoy can get a 12volt alternator ans battery and hook it up, then get a stereo for the cab or wherever, probably an under-dash unit and some Rockford Fosgate 'EARTHQUAKE' speakers and put them in the bed. Now just get a racording of the Space Shuttle take-off and play it on a LOOP. While...

parking on the street w/ historical plates?

Taylors and other insurance companys require you park inside a (garage/shed/inclosed) structure I'v heard here on the forum. If this is so that may be a thing to take into account. You surely will make the neighbors ticked over time and yea they will do every underhanded thing to make you move...

    Runaway Multifuel cutoff?

This has been posted before with some bit of discussion, and methods of shutting down a motor. Some guys carry a small square of wood that can be put over the intake pipe, provided the mushroom is not tight and can be readily twisted back and forth and pulled off. To me that seems redundant and...

    M35 capabilities in sand dunes?

Good point, but in sand I think ok, in hardpack Id wonder about banging the wheel and loosing the ring, but then again the whole idea was for Sand.

    M35 capabilities in sand dunes?

All I picture is the Jeep in Rat Patrol cresting the dune and landing, sorry to say, I dont think the Deuce will do that. lol. Serriously, I think the front axle will want to push instead of turn and likely want to sink in the sand if its loose. What you could however is run duals on the front...
