I finally came across the elusive photo of a 2.5, 5, and 10-ton trucks all hanging out together in 1 frame for size comparison or just MV eye candy 😍
What's neat is they're all wearing the same vintage of paint scheme. Maybe they are all part of the same collection? - who knows. Definitely...
It's been done and I think there were pictures of it on this forum. It's been many beers since I saw the pics so I have no clue where the write-up is stashed or who did it. Seems like it would be an item with a decent demand within this group.
I'm kinda hoping that my Prestolite wire is made of all the best materials that the EPA and California have since banned that might be caustic to rodents. So far so good...
There was a time when Subaru had wire harnesses made with a soy-based wire insulation (for environmental reasons) that the rodents just loved. It was such a problem that they had to change their formulation somewhere around 2007-ish?

Seems like no one does it anymore for liability reasons but they used to set up a shaving machine beneath a jacked...
Not sure about the electrical stuff but when outfitted with the deep water fording kit there are valves and lines that supply subtle air pressure to the axles, tranny, t-case, clutch housing, and maybe even the crank case. In theory the internal air pressure is greater than the external water...
