I don't hear anybody mentioning the other gauges in the cluster. Is radiation only a concern in the speedometer? I'm not worried about it. Just curious.
I had a similar problem with contacting the Fort Pickett, VA office. No answer and no voice mail. Contact GL Customer Service. They were able to eventually track down a phone number for me to the Richmond office who apparantly runs the Pickett office too. Good luck.
You needed a shop to check your brake fluid? Not trying to sound mean, but that is something you should check on your own regardless of whether the shop does it.
Thanks everyone. I'll take a closer look around the radiator. That's what I thought at first too, but didn't see anything the first time and didn't seem to be losing coolant or anything either.
I found several strips of this in the engine compartment the other day. One was on the left side of the engine, one on the right side, and some pieces of it on the air compressor. It looks like something that would come from a radiator, but I couldn't find any damage anywhere. Anyone ever...
I believe NDT put it in the wiki section, because anybody can edit/add info to expand the list and keep it updated. Thanks Lonesome for bringing the idea up and thanks to NDT for starting the list.
If it's drivable, I could probably pick it up and store it for you while you arrange shipping. I wouldn't be able to store it until you get back though.
I have had both a turbo and non-turbo deuce. Of course you know they were rated with similar power numbers, but I would bet the turbo one has a broader power band if not more power. My turbo one pulls more going up hills and does better maintaining speed. Could be the fuel may have been turned...
State Farm quoted me $240 every 6 months for a commercial policy. No accident free discounts though for commercial insurance. They know it's a deuce as I've had one insured through them before. I'll probably check with Gulfway out of curiousity.
I followed up on my SF-97 request using GL's live chat yesterday. They told me in VA they issue titles now instead. They also claim the average time is 30 days. Just thought I would pass that on.
Are you planning on making these for awhile? I'm interested in picking up 4 or 5 them, but I'm still waiting on my EUC to clear. Then I have to get around to bobbing it and flipping hubs before I'm ready for a set.
You are very lucky. Glad you didn't get hurt. I never trust using only jack stands to support a vehicle in the air. Several people die every year like that.
