Red Ball rally in Gilbert PA, Sep 2014 - who's going?

Of the 3 Redballs I've attended, this one had the largest and widest variety of display vehicles, the most vendors, and without a doubt, the best weather. It was the 1st time my niece and her son attended a show and this one was just right for letting them know what the hobby is about. It's...

    Show us your Military Trailers

Somewhere on here there's a thread w/ photos of somebody who did just that. Saw it a couple years ago. Looked very much like the 103 above. The other possible variation is to make it a removeable stake-side with horizonal boards. Steve

M101a3 Backing Plate and Outward on M101/M116a2 Axle?

Uhhhhhh - That's the part that I'm fuzzy on. I'm hoping somebody will respond that has done it or bombed. Thanks, Mark. See you in Gilbert. Steve

M101a3 Backing Plate and Outward on M101/M116a2 Axle?

This is related to my post in the Gilbert thread trying to help a friend source replacement parts. I got the suggestion that the end assemblies from the a3 drop axle would work on the a2 axle. If I'm reading the TM correctly, the part numbers and mountings are the same from the backing plate...

Red Ball rally in Gilbert PA, Sep 2014 - who's going?

Quick price check says that minimal parts will be over $400 there. Better to buy a trailer for parts from GL. Steve

Red Ball rally in Gilbert PA, Sep 2014 - who's going?

JT - It was marked M135/211. I've tried to determine front or rear but have had no luck. I'll try to dig around for a photo but there's not much to see except a coil of wire with connectors. Steve

Oh yeah -- batteries. Don't forget new batteries. Or you might not need that block of wood right away. And forget pictures - take a video of the 1st snort of the beast! Steve

source for covers for the M116 series genset trailers?

If that's what you want, take some measurements and a trip to Tractor Supply. I'd figure a 12 x 20 to go across and cover the front and a 6 x 8 underneath it to drop as a rear flap. Their canvas is 12 oz, but their black truck tarps are really tough. A piece of plywood or such down the center...

I'd be interested in that and a photo. Steve

source for covers for the M116 series genset trailers?

You might inquire w/ Kenny Kublo. He had some different covers made by orig mfrs. Perhaps he got M116 too. Steve

    Toys for Tots 2014 Events

I think there was a thread like this last year so I'm going to try to get one going this year. I figure that the more events that are added in one place, the better the chance of getting local MV owners to show up and support this worthy effort. The NNJ 2014 drive will kick off this weekend in...
