What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks! You know, there have been quite a few people that have said the same thing lately - I appreciate all of the positive comments about her - that makes me think that my brother and I did a good job with the bobbing! We were going for the g506 (ww2, 1.5ton, single axle truck) look. It is...

Official 2015 Georgia Rally Radio Communications Thread

There used to be a guy in Chester that I knew, who ran an electronics shop and worked on the "old stuff". He closed shop about 15 years ago though. I'll have to try to track him down to see if he might be able to do anything - he should be about 80 now. I haven't sat down and searched for anyone...

Official 2015 Georgia Rally Radio Communications Thread

Do any of you know anything about troubleshooting the rt-67? I have a vrc9 setup in my m38a1 that powers up, but I get no sound through the handset or speaker. I also have an rt68 that does the same thing. The power supply looks NOS. If I haven't figured it out by rally time, is there anyone...

What Plates on a Deuce in GA

Just go with what you think your max weight will be. They are prob doing 26,000 because that is the max you can weigh without a cdl. If you are planning on hauling sand and gravel, it would be easy to overload without knowing. In SC, you pay $10 more on your tag/ 1,000# weight (for a weighted...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I sure could've used one of those when loading all of those deuce tires the other week before the Denton rally! I guess the tractor/boom pole worked ok, but was still a lot of work!

Bobbing a deuce with front springs.Advice???

We used front springs and cut the stock bed/frame down 3'. We used unmodified spring perches. Stock ride height, duals on the rear, G177s. Definitely install shocks - we haven't done that yet. I felt a lot of bouncing on the rear at low speed and passed over a RR track and thought I was going to...

    Denton NC mv show 2015

Yeah, I hate that you misdeed this one Mike! The convoy and bbq, along with the great weather made it a pretty good one. A few more attendees and vendors would've been nice, but now I have money to spend in GA.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I have a pond stocked with largemouth and bream literally 50' from the back of the house, but haven't fished in 2yrs!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Mine is metal on metal, but doesn't leak. Maybe I'll try to find some kind of gasket

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Supposed to have a copper washer? I guess I had better try to find one of those then! Mine doesn't leak though.

Hauling camper trailer with electric brakes

I'll have to look on eBay tonight to see what I can find.

    Denton NC mv show 2015

I would also like to thank everyone that took video and pics - it's a LOT more interesting to everyone that wasn't there when they can see the fun! My phone wasn't charging right, so I didn't take a single pic. This is my favorite though - you couldn't bear that smile off my face! I held it...

Info? Got that right! I'm pretty white knuckled at 60 - sometimes even at 50!

Hauling camper trailer with electric brakes

I've been hearing a lot of talk about front and rear cameras on big trucks - I think I am going to look into getting one (or 2).

    Denton NC mv show 2015

That's me - thanks! It is an M35a2 Sport model - fun to drive and gets a LOT of attention. I almost drove it to Georgia last year with the M38a1 in tow, but ended up only attending 1 night of the rally. Since things have changed and I will have to take vacation for Georgia this year, I will prob...

    M35A3 battery choices

Yep, group 31s. No names are around $75 from a local place. Tractor Supply has them for around $100. I had them in my metal box, and still fit when I switched to the plastic (A3 type) box. I did have to turn some of the screws from the handles around so they wouldn't rub a hole in the battery...

Hauling camper trailer with electric brakes

I pulled my car hauler and M38a1 to the Denton rally last year (about 4,500#) with NO trailer brakes. Pulled the car hauler with my tractor and box scrape (around 6,000#) earlier this year with NO brakes - would not do it again! Last month I installed a brake controller, fuse box and battery...
