    Operation Lion Claws XI

any chances of Canadians attending? I run one of the bigger Canadian games up here... not to this level unfortunately but we've had helicopters and vehicles etc. I think we were one of the first to USE a heli in the game and have the troops on it during the game.

    Speedo reads high- any thoughts?

someone told me they did that because the cable gets crusty inside and catches, releases, catches etc etc.. not sure but sounds like it would make sense.

    M1009 gun truck

the WMIK's were my inspiration for this project actually... It will look nice when we get it all polished and tuned, accessories mounted etc... Im going to add those 'ahh sheet' stuck ramps too.. good thing to have roaming around off road. once its all ready the whole truck gets fresh IR...

    8x8 Deuce

I know the Tundra Buggies company up here uses a MAN 8x8 and I believe they used the chassis of old airport firetrucks in the past. something to explore for ideas anyways but those things go through **** and back...but they do get stuck from time to time ;) the tundra buggies are...

    M1009 trasn issue

no doubt i had the exact same trouble.. changed the lines it got better but still not 100%, changed pump and voila. It will work out. TM's and experience here will save your bacon. These trucks are way past their life expectancy so expect to nickle and dime for the next while... usually its...

    M1009 trasn issue

Pretty sure they mean vacuum PUMP. I was going to say... I had a bad vacuum pump and it was doing similar things. If you aren't getting vacuum it will not shift properly. Glad you got it sorted out. First thing to do with these trucks is check all the vacuum lines as they are typically...

Rack universal or modular mounting arm anyone?

total cost and shipping I will look into... I will also explore the design and cost in aluminum. Im not in this hobby to get rich so it will likely just costs and a bit of time... Its all one piece. you would have to un bolt the shell as normally, slide it out 5 inches, replace the front two...

Rack universal or modular mounting arm anyone?

that was for everything... im wondering if a trailer cover could be modified to skin it for those who want to run soft top... attach with buttons or something with straps that you could just roll up the sides if not all the way off.. just thinking on the fly haha :cookoo:

    M1009 gun truck

its not that heavy, i can load it on myself by tipping the front on and lifting the rear to slide it into place. the mounting plates utilize the two front and two rear existing canopy bolt locations. I'd guess its a just a bit heavier than the top itself with glass but I can weigh it and...

Rack universal or modular mounting arm anyone?

well.. thats the beauty of universal mounts... with the new basket I'm creating and the space and means to slide in and lock you can pretty much imagine and create anything you want to fit in there...lol

Rack universal or modular mounting arm anyone?

thats how mine is designed.. page 3 shows it without top.. simply un-bolt, slide the top out and re-bolt the cage. the way it was designed the cage can't slip off while doing this which is a bonus

My axle fell off on the way home!

yea they lock the fronts when the low is engaged automatically just re-referenced the manual....otherwise in high you can choose to lock them, am I right with that? I also run larger supers on my deuce not NDCC's .. I think what we are talking about here is..wether there would be any more or...

My axle fell off on the way home!

great attitude right there.... Im guessing (sorry forget who said it) that GL may have been roughing this thing up a bit, those dog bones aren't that weak. Ive run my deuce many times on pavement and the dog bones hold up just fine. The 6wd should not be a factor in my mind. the rear are...

Just boguht my first deuce, what can you tell me about it?

having a whistler, when I use it for my errand's going to suppliers etc i love the looks on peoples faces when they open the doors of their shops expecting a 737 landing on their back lot to see a very stout army truck staring back at them. "holy crap I thought a jet was landing!" i hear that...

    M1009 gun truck

I've just started constructing a cargo basket that integrates into the universal slide-in mounting angles pictures up soon. Inspired by the window screen thread I will also be doing some tweaking to this rig. I need to add airbags to the suspension with all the steel I'm adding
