A friend once drove an M923A2 with an air leak and it burned out his compressor. Comparing air leaks is like comparing most things without seeing them.
Do you have two vehicles and two sets of jumper cables? Jump start the truck. As long as your batteries are not totally dead, and it doesn't sound like it, it should start. Then, move the truck to a location where you can troubleshoot/charge/replace/repair.
A trip to an Allison dealer is one of the first things I do when I get a truck. I let them service the transmission, check the shift points, and adjust/replace anything they suggest.
